FAQs

Planning a wedding means making lots of decisions—and when two teachers are involved, it also means rules and organization. We’ve put together this FAQ to answer the most common questions and make sure you have everything you need to enjoy the day.
Question

Where can I get groceries in town during my stay?

Answer

For quick essentials, both St. Regis Travel Center and Stang’s in St. Regis offer convenience items, snacks, and grab-and-go basics. For a full grocery store, Darrow’s Market in Superior is the closest option, with larger supermarkets available in Missoula, Coeur d'Alene, or Spokane for those traveling through or stocking up for a longer stay.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Think “Mountain Elegant” or “Outdoor Cocktail” — polished yet comfortable for a Montana early summer. Typical temperatures are around 68°F during the day with lows in the 50s at night, so dressing in layers is smart. Please skip jeans. A light jacket or wrap is also a good idea in case it gets chilly or damp.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing pizza, wings, and salads for the Welcome Party at St Regis Community Park. Please BYOB. Dinner and drinks will be served at the reception celebration. We’ll have beer, wine, and basic cocktails. Important: Please note any severe allergies or dietary preferences on the RSVP form. Everything will be labeled clearly.

Question

Is this an elopement?

Answer

Not quite! Our ceremony will be a very small, intimate hike with just a few close loved ones (including our dog, Nori) to one of our favorite mountain lakes.

Question

Do I have to hike?

Answer

Nope! Only a small group will hike with us to the ceremony. Everyone else is invited to join us at the house for the main celebration afterward. If you’re interested in exploring the area, check out the “Things to Do” section of our website — we’ve put together a list of some of our favorite nearby hikes.

Question

Can we bring pets?

Answer

Our celebration will include two special pups: Nori (ours) and Charles (Evan’s parents’ dog). We love animals, but no other pets will be able to attend the reception.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we kindly ask that Saturday’s reception be reserved for adult guests only. Children are welcome at the other wedding weekend events. We know everyone’s family and travel needs are different, some may be turning the weekend into a family trip, some may prefer not to travel without their kids, and others may enjoy a weekend away. Whatever works best for you, we’re so happy you’re considering celebrating with us and truly appreciate any arrangements it takes to make the weekend work.
