Jon and Dana swiped right on Tinder in spring of 2014 during their respective sophomore and freshman years at Cornell. At her request, he introduced himself by way of (very cheesy) Pokemon pun. Enamored with the lameness of the joke, Dana introduced herself and they hit it off in the virtual world. Jon soon wanted to meet her in person and take her out for dinner. Wary of handsome strangers on the internet, Dana refused his offer of meeting in downtown Ithaca (Jon: “less than a mile from your dorm!”) and instead opted for a coffee at Green Dragon cafe during their finals week, where they would get a cappucino (Jon) and black tea (Dana). They had what some might call the best first date experienced by anyone in the history of existence. This was supported by the fact that Dana stopped every acquaintance she saw immediately following the date to tell them exactly that. Since this meeting, the two have been virtually inseparable. Living in seven apartments, three states, with two pets, and having just bought one house, they are so happy and excited to be joining their families together as one.
