People come all over the world for this natural wonder! Take a drive or a hike and explore why.
Our local cavern is a treat- and also has an enchanted mirror maze that is fun for all ages!
Our cute downtown full of civil war history, a trolley, and the vibrant community life. Go down to the gazebo for live music and stop by C N' C's for the best ice cream around! It also features many local restaurants and coffee shops (Daily Grind and Back 40).
Christine has worked here over a year and highly recommends the elegant and fun atmosphere, as well as fine Virginia wine. Favorites: Red- New World Red, White- Nobeless Blanc, Sparkling- Cuvee Blanc
A personal favorite of the Schmidts since their first visit in 2015 after Christine preformed in Le Miserables.
Thomas and I love Charlestown; in fact, this is where we went to it's Canons of the New Jerusalem for Mass the day we were engaged! Other fun things to do there are its cute downtown and history, as well as the horse races! Bet for the chance to win large or watch for free!
A day trip for sure; but so much to do! For churches the International Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for mass and viewing (JP II Shrine here as well); the Anglican Church is also a pretty site. All the Smithsonian museums are free to the public, not to mention the cherry blossoms will still be in bloom! Check out all the history in this fun city.
Christendom's new Christ the King Chapel will open Divine Mercy Sunday and is breathtaking. Featured in several publications, its inside boasts of many rescued pieces including a stunning high alter. Make sure to check out our Lady's chapel behind the main alter as well!
