Cocktails, used books, chocolate from the Chocolate Lounge, AND THERE ARE DOGS
Great Pizza, Great Beer, $3 Movies.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is where we had one of our first REAL dates - beautiful overlooks and a scenic drive is just minutes from downtown Asheville
America's largest home, and a must see if you aren't in Asheville often! If you book your tickets with the Biltmore over a week in advance, you will receive a cheaper rate, and will have more time options.
Even if you are not staying at the Grove Park, we encourage you to spend some time here. You can learn a little history on the Pink Lady (if you are intrigued by paranormal stories), see the views of Asheville, and grab some local food! We both have cherished childhood memories of the Grove Park Inn.
High-end tapas and plenty of wine!
Chocolate.... need we say more?
Even if you're not a big beer person, they have an outdoor space with gardens, brewery tours, and amazing small plates. We suggest the Duck Fat Fries.... no really, trust us.
A great restaurant/brewery in downtown Asheville! Good beer and bar food, with great space for people watching.
Burger joint in downtown Asheville! Great variety and location.
Lauren's FAVORITE dessert spot in Asheville. Make sure to look up their hours before going, but you really can't go wrong with any item on the menu.
We recently discovered this spot in Hendersonville, the city south of Asheville! If you're staying out that way, or just want to take a little drive this is a great spot. They make their doughnuts in house, and take classic dishes and put a doughnut spin on it. They also have dishes such as the buffalo chicken sandwich (Lauren loves this), breakfast platters, salads and the like. They are known for their eggs in a basket (doughnut halves instead of bread), with melt in your mouth fried chicken on top!
