FAQs

You may be wondering...
Question

What time is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm. I know, I know... amid all of the planning, we totally forgot to include the time on the invitations! That's our bad! But thanks for caring enough to navigate to the FAQs page to find out! We've also included an updated image of the invitation under the "Schedule" tab.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Watson Block is located in downtown Minneapolis, so we recommend arriving 15–30 minutes before the ceremony begins. Street parking may be limited, and you may need to walk a short distance from a nearby ramp or lot. Arriving a little early will give you time to get settled, find your seat, and enjoy visiting with other guests before the ceremony begins.

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to dress formal for our celebration. Think cocktail or formal attire—something you’d enjoy wearing to a special evening out. We want the atmosphere to feel elegant and meaningful, but most importantly we want you to feel comfortable and confident.

Question

The invitation says adults only. What if I can’t find childcare?

Answer

We are hoping to keep the ceremony and dinner primarily adults-only so we can create a calm and intimate atmosphere. That said, we completely understand that childcare isn’t always easy to arrange. If you are truly unable to find childcare, please go ahead and RSVP with your child(ren) included. Once we receive final counts, we’ll confirm whether we’re able to accommodate them. If bringing your child would simply be the more convenient option, we kindly ask that you try to secure a sitter if possible. We’re planning a larger, family-friendly celebration later this summer, and we would absolutely love for the kids to join us for that! Your presence means a great deal to us, and we want to make it possible for you to attend.

Question

Where should we park?

Answer

There are several convenient parking ramps within a short walking distance of Watson Block. Nearby options include: - 101 N Washington Ave Parking Ramp - 330 N 1st Ave Parking - 301 N 1st Ave Parking Ramp All are just a few minutes’ walk away and typically have good availability. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, give yourself a few extra minutes to park and walk over—North Loop Minneapolis can be lively on weekends.

Question

How long should we plan for the evening to last?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM. From there, we’ll share dinner, a few special moments together, and a short time of music and dancing. We expect the evening to wrap up around 8:30 PM. After that, the night is still young—so feel free to continue the evening with a date night, explore the area, or enjoy time together. You’ll receive a printed program when you arrive with the flow of the evening.

Question

Can we take photos?

Answer

Yes! We’d love for you to capture candid moments throughout the evening. If you take photos, we'd love for you to share them with us so we can enjoy the memories from everyone’s perspective. After the wedding, we'll share a link for you to upload the photos at your convenience. Note: We may ask guests to refrain from phones during certain moments of the ceremony so everyone can stay present, but otherwise feel free to snap away.
