We are Schia and David, and this is a glimpse into our story so far. While there are many chapters behind us, through all of them we have seen the gracious and faithful hand of the Lord. We trust Him as the Author of the chapters still to come. Like many relationships, ours began with excitement and newness. But what has truly defined our relationship is the foundation it has been built upon. That, and the fact that we agree toilet paper should be pulled over and not under. ;-) From early on, we were intentional about building something lasting. A relationship rooted in deep friendship, lots of laughter, and conversations where we could share our deepest hopes, thoughts, and fears with one another. Both of us have walked through difficult seasons in life. Some came from our own choices and some from the choices of others. Yet through it all, God has been faithful. He has created beauty from ashes and used those experiences to shape us, refine us, and deepen our dependence on Him as we step into this new season together. Life with us isn’t always serious though. We love to have fun. We love our kids dearly and enjoy playing sports together, cooking together, and having the occasional dance party. We’re both competitive and you’ll often find us talking a little trash during games of basketball or ping pong. And with one of us being a Lions fan and the other a Vikings fan, we’ve found common ground in our shared dislike of the Packers. We are deeply grateful for the family and friends who have supported and invested in us along the way. We know we wouldn’t be here without that community, and we look forward to continuing life surrounded by people who encourage and walk with us. We are excited to begin this next chapter together, and are so grateful you will be part of celebrating that day with us.
