We are already married but that won't stop us from doing it again! While our small wedding was wonderful, we really missed celebrating with all of you! Our re-wedding day will be complete with short and sweet ceremony/vow renewal, cocktail hour, dinner, and of course - dancing! Due to COVID restrictions, our event will be adults only. For our loved ones with children, we will be offering babysitting services at a location nearby and will reach out directly with more details! With all the love in our hearts, please only plan attending our event if you are vaccinated.
We are asking all guests who are attending our wedding in-person to please be vaccinated before attending the wedding. If vaccination is not possible (and we understand it may not be), please plan to not attend the wedding in-person. To make the big day possible, we need your help!! ***We need you to send us a photo/copy of your COVID vaccination card by this Friday 9/17 please.*** To send in a picture copy of COVID vaccine card to us: You can feel free to send us an email to this address - schastingswedding@gmail.com Or you can text a picture to either Matt (303-919-1103) or Alexa (631-742-1708) Why do we need this? Our entire guest list is fully vaccinated, but we need to provide visual vaccine proof from each guest. The reason is because Boulder County (where our wedding is) currently has an indoor mask order in place. To opt out of this, we need to provide vaccine proof from each person in attendance (we're also asking this of all our vendors too). Both of us want to make sure everyone one is comfortable and safe, so we made sure the entire guest list was fully vaccinated to begin with. And of course, you are still more than welcome to wear a mask for any and all of the night should you choose. But, this opt out is very important to the two of us to create the joyous, welcoming vibe we always wanted for our wedding. Please help us make this possible by sending in a copy of your COVID vaccine card by this Friday 9/17. Thank you again so much for your love and support. This has been — and remains — an extremely difficult time and we so value all of the empathy and grace you have given us as we do our best to start our marriage in a way that doesn't endanger the lives of those we love best in the world. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
We were matched on the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. Alexa loved Matt's cute bowtie and Matt was too nervous to message first. Alexa started a conversation about Matt's second place finish in his 6th grade geography bee and we hit it off immediately, exchanging paragraph after paragraph. We had our first date at a pizza place in Denver and ended up talking until the restaurant closed!
Alexa had spent the weekend in the mountains for a girl's weekend, while Matt conspired. After she got back home, Matt suggested they take Artemis on a walk around Sloan's Lake. Alexa, already suspicious for weeks that a proposal was coming, realized something was up as Matt had shaved and was wearing a unusually nice shirt for a casual walk with the dog. As the pair approached an overlook for a "water break," Artemis, hiding the ring covertly in her water dish collar, was able to help Matt produce the ring. Matt forgot 70% of his rehearsed proposal. Alexa said yes. Then they both happy cried.
