Emma and Josh met early in their freshmen year of college. Maybe in the student section at a Sun Devil Football game. Maybe in a journalism classroom. It's hard to remember. They had dozens of mutual friends and ran within the same circles, and many of those friends will be involved in their special day. When Josh was searching for an on-campus job at the start of junior year, he messaged Emma, who worked at the Cronkite School's equipment lab. She helped him secure an interview and eventually landed the job. They shared many laughs, became close friends, and fixed hundreds of camera tripods. After graduation, the pandemic kept us all apart but brought Emma and Josh closer together. They relied on each other for support. They talked on the phone every day and started planning regular 6-hour road trips to visit each other. As these trips became more frequent, they started to fall for each other; and, after a job opportunity took Emma to California, they made it official. Emma and Josh's foundation of friendship led to a rare type of relationship where they found best friends, partners, and forever in each other. Nowadays, they enjoy traveling and exploring new places, cooking dinner together, swapping their Star Wars and Taylor Swift conspiracy theories, binge-watching their favorite shows (in between hockey games), and arguing about baseball. The couple wants to thank all of their loved ones for the role each of you has played in their lives, whether separately or as a couple. They cannot wait to celebrate with you!
