While passing through Golden, be sure to stop by this craft brewery and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mesas.
Our local favorite, this latino-owned and operated brewery is within walking distance of the Broncos Stadium and the new immersive art experience, Meow Wolf.
Shopping!
This is a great pedestrian shopping area in Boulder. Make sure to stop in to the Peppercorn!
Specializing in Detroit-style pizza, Blue Pan is by far our favorite pizza joint in Denver. No worries if pan pizza isn't your thing, as they have traditional NY style as well.
Kachina is one of our favorite spots for yummy cocktails and Mexican fare. The restaurant is located right in downtown Denver, across from the Rockies Stadium.
Pho Duy Denver is our favorite pho spot, featuring a wide variety of options from fresh made banh mi, crab cheese wontons, and of course PHO! In every size and variety.
City O' City features entirely vegetarian or vegan meals. Try their famous chicken and waffles (bourbon-brined chicken-fried cauliflower with bourbon maple syrup, chive creme fraiche and carrot bacon).
Located in Morrison, Colorado, near the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre, this is one of our favorite areas to hike, with plenty of trails to explore, including Red Rocks Trading Post Trail and Morrison Slide Trail.
Located in Lakewood, Colorado, Belmar is close to Denver and Golden and features mountain views and a beautiful lake with many opportunities to bird watch. Bring some binoculars to see the local pied-billed grebes, gadwalls and Northern shovelers.
Clear Creek Trail is a paved path along the water right in downtown Golden. Be sure to grab a beer post-hike at one of the many breweries or taprooms around the area: Trailhead, Buffalo Rose, Golden Mills, and Mountain Toad are wonderful spots. There are cafés, restaurants, and shops too!
BUFFALO! Yes, buffalo. This trail circles a buffalo preserve that houses the direct descendants of the last wild herd of bison in the U.S. They all came from a herd of 7 bison brought from Yellowstone National Park in 1914.
Guanella Pass is a lovely way to see the sights without leaving the comfort of your car. Note the pass can sometimes be closed due to heavy snows. If you are able to access the pass, be sure to have an all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle with snow chains on hand. Stop along the way and enjoy a hike or picnic at one of the many trailheads along the pass.
Looking to get even further into the Rockies? Be sure to visit Frisco, Colorado, or the many infamous ski resorts surrounding the area. On your way, check out Loveland Pass, a beautiful scenic drive with a 360 degree view of the mountains. All wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicles with chains are recommended.
