During our freshman year at VCU, I saw Kyle for the first time in our Art Foundations building. I knew right away there was something about him. We had a mutual friend, so I told her that I had a crush. Not long after that, our friend played Cupid and invited us both to a party. Kyle and I talked and danced, and when the party was over, we went to get late night quesadillas so we could talk even more. With ten years gone, we still like dancing and talking and eating quesadillas, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

One rainy night, a friend of ours invited me out to a party. I was not originally planning on going, but something told me to get out that night. I saw Alyson dancing and I knew I had to talk to her. We hit it off and ended up hanging out all night, ending the soirée with quesadillas at place called Bodillaz. The next day was the start of finals, so I didn't call Alyson for an entire week. As soon as I caught up on some much needed sleep, we made plans to get together and hang out in the park. I knew then and there this was the love of my life.
