Sawleh and Laney first met at The Ohio State University through a mutual friend, and what stood out from the very beginning was how easy it felt to talk to one another. Their connection grew naturally through shared values, meaningful conversations, and plenty of laughter. They also bonded over their similar majors, Psychology and Social Work, which meant a lot of thoughtful discussions and the ongoing joke that they were always analyzing each other. Last year, they celebrated their Nikah at the Chicago Firehouse with their families by their side. Since then, they’ve settled into life together in Chicago’s South Loop. They enjoy walking around Museum Campus, discovering new restaurants (though they somehow always end up at Chipotle), and unwinding with whatever show they’ve both become invested in. One of their favorite memories was a trip to Maui, where they watched the island from a helicopter and rode horseback along the beach. Moments like those made them realize how much they love discovering the world together. Through every step of their journey, Sawleh and Laney have felt supported by their families, their community, and the love and prayers that have guided them to this moment. Their relationship has been shaped not only by their own growth, but by the guidance, kindness, and generosity of the people around them. They are grateful beyond words and incredibly excited to celebrate this special day with all of you!
