We are getting married at: The Cowan Historic Mill in Acworth, Georgia! Ceremony starts at 7:30PM and the reception to follow is at the same venue. “Located in Historic Downtown Acworth which is a 30 minute drive from Atlanta! The Cowan Historic Mill has just that, history. That is something that we cherish within our venue. This space was originally a flour mill, then turned tapestry mill in the late 1800s.”
Yes! Plenty of parking. And it’s free! THIS IS A NEW YEARS EVE WEDDING. PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. We will find a way to get you home if you are not in a state to drive after the wedding. We are working on getting an Uber or Lyft code as well.
If your are staying at the hotel in which we have our room block, yes! There will be transportation to and from our venue. There is free and plenty of parking if you wish to drive yourself! THIS IS A NEW YEARS EVE WEDDING SO PLEASE REMEMBER TO BE SAFE AND BE SMART AFTER A LONG NIGHT OF DRINKING!! PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. We will find a way to get you home id you are not in a state to drive after the wedding. We are also looking into getting an Uber or Lyft code.

We would love for everyone to dress up and have fun for our wedding! Since it’s a New Years Eve party, come in your best fancy party attire! Semi-Formal to formal. Please see the header photo on this page for inspiration if you wish to choose a color similar to our theme! Blacks, golds, maroons, mid to dark greens/sage, greys) Please feel free to wear any of these colors or different colors! PLEASE READ: While Georgia is known for it’s hot and humid summers, please remember it’s December and can get very cold here, so please dress accordingly. Part of the wedding will be outside (only about 15-20 minutes and we will be providing blankets, hand warmers and thick curtains around the area!) The other outdoor area will have heaters and a fireplace.
No!!!!!! We are having an UNPLUGGED ceremony! Please do NOT take videos, photos, or have your phone out during the ceremony. We will have our officiant remind everyone before the start of the ceremony. We spent a lot of money on our wonderful photographer and the last thing we want are phones in all of our beautiful, professional pictures. On top of that, we want everyone at our ceremony to be in that moment with us and be able to ENJOY time off of their phones while we are all becoming one big family. Trust me, everyone will have plenty of time to take pictures during our reception!! :)
Please check your invitation and RSVP card to see if a plus one has been included for you! Our guest list is strictly RSVP only so we can stay within our budget! We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Yes. There will be a variety of beer, wine and cocktails served.
We will make sure to have food for everyone! Please let us know what your allergies are and we will accommodate you :)
