Please note: We are actively working on hotel recommendations and will have that updated shortly!

Travel Note

Welcome to Oahu!

Welcome to Oahu! Since this will be the first trip to Hawaii for many of our guests, we wanted to share a little about Oahu to help you plan. Oahu is one of the Hawaiian Islands and home to the state’s capital, Honolulu. We recommend staying in Honolulu, as it offers plenty of restaurants, activities, and entertainment. You may also hear about Waikiki—this is a popular beachfront area within Honolulu, known for its stunning shoreline and vibrant atmosphere. Our wedding will take place in Kaneohe, Hawaii, about 24 miles from Honolulu. Depending on traffic, the drive typically takes 45 minutes to an hour.

Flight

Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL)

Daniel K. Inouye International Airport aka Honolulu International Airport (HNL) is the largest and most convenient airport on Oahu. It’s just a short drive or Uber ride to the main areas of Honolulu and Waikiki, where we recommend staying.

Travel Note

Transportation to Hotel

Uber and Lyft are readily available in Honolulu, Oahu, and you can use the app to request rides to and from the airport and around the island. It is highly recommended to have a rental car so you can easily get around the island at your own pace.
