Carbondale, Colorado

We love where we live and want to share that with you all! Our small town, Carbondale, Colorado, is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. We're part of a larger community called the Roaring Fork Valley, which includes Aspen, Basalt, Glenwood Springs, and more. Please read through the travel info below. We've listed notes about travel, suggestions on how to get here and where to stay. It might feel difficult to get here, but once you're here, we know you'll fall in love just like we did. Our wedding ceremony and reception will be in Marble, Colorado, an even tinier town about a 40 minute scenic car ride up the Crystal River Valley. We will have a shuttle service to help folks get there. It's a truly magical place, especially in the fall time, and is home to one of the largest aspen tree groves in the world! It's a big ask for many of our nearest and dearest to come all the way to the heart of the Rocky Mountains, but we hope you can make the journey to celebrate with us and experience this wonderful place we call home.

Getting Here

DENVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT Carbondale is a 3 to 3.5 hour scenic drive 175 miles west of Denver on Interstate 70. Flying into Denver is the most affordable when it comes to flights. We recommend renting a car to get to the Roaring Fork Valley. Other options are public transportation: Bustang, Greyhound, or Amtrack + local bus system RFTA. EAGLE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT 50 minute car ride to Carbondale, we recommend renting a car. ASPEN/PITKIN COUNTY AIRPORT 45 minute car ride to Carbondale. Easy to use local bus system RFTA to get from Aspen to Carbondale. GRAND JUNCTION REGIONAL AIRPORT Grand Junction is about 1 hour and 40 minute West of Carbondale on Interstate-70. We recommend renting a car.

This is one of the few hotels here in Carbondale. We've blocked out a number of rooms and have a group discount! Book through the link provided, or reserve over the phone. Mention LaBauve/LaVaude Wedding (Group JN47P4) to get the group rate. Rooms will be held until the end of August. It's about a 25 minute walk or a 5 minute bike ride to Carbondale Downtown Main Street. This will most likely be the meeting place for shuttle services to/from Carbondale to/from the wedding venue in Marble (about a 40 minute car ride).

Chair Mountain Ranch

Want to stay right by the venue, immersed in the Rocky Mountains? We've reserved four rustic cabins and one apartment at Chair Mountain Ranch, just a 5 min car ride from the venue. Each cabin is a two-bedroom that can sleep up to 4 people and comes with its own kitchen and full bathroom. The apartment is a two-bedroom that can sleep up to 8 people and would be perfect for a larger group of people. *If you plan to stay in Marble, you will need a car for transporation.* Marble is a very small town with limited services. There is no gas station, grocery store, or cell phone service, but there is a kick-ass BBQ place and incredible outdoor activities, like hiking, biking, ATVing, fishing, etc. It's a beautiful place that draws tons of people during the fall leaf-peeping season! The Hoffmann is located in the next town over from Carbondale going Up Valley. It's about a 12 minute drive to Carbondale from Willits/Basalt. The Willits Town Center is across the way and includes restaurants, shopping, and Whole Foods.
