FAQs

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

We’d love for you to dress in semi-formal attire—think cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, suits, or button-ups and slacks. We’ll be indoors for most of the evening, with cocktail hour on the patio, so dress cute—but comfortable enough to hit the dance floor! No need for tuxes or gowns, but please leave the jeans and sneakers at home. And hopefully it goes without saying… but kindly save white for the bride.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your kiddos (and we really do!), our big day will be an adults-only event—aside from a few VIP littles in the family. We hope you’ll take the chance to kick back and celebrate with us, grown-up style!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

When you go to RSVP on the website, it will specify whether you have a +1 if it says Guest along with your name.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 1st so we can get everything ready for the big day. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a hotel block at Silver Cloud Hotel—you can find more information about how to book a room on the Travel page of our website. There are also tons of great Airbnbs and hotels around Portland. The great thing about Portland is it’s pretty compact, so almost anywhere you stay will be within a 20-minute drive of the venue. If you're worried, feel free to reach out and we are happy to provide advice!

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

We’re not providing transportation to and from the ceremony/reception, but Portland has lots of great options for getting around. We recommend Uber or Lyft so you can party the night away without worrying about driving. That said, there is some street and lot parking available near the venue if you’d prefer to drive. If you're joining us for the karaoke after-party, transportation will be provided for that.

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

We picked a date in mid-July because it’s a beautiful time to visit Portland! Historically, it’s hot and dry—but it’s still Portland, so check the forecast before you pack. The weather loves to throw curveballs.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be! Wine and beer will be available, along with a couple of signature cocktails and several non-alcoholic options. We’ll also have a coffee and tea bar to keep the vibes going.

Question

What's the on the menu?

Answer

We’ll have a delicious buffet-style feast prepared by Pearl Catering, featuring steak, salmon, and a variety of tasty sides. Passed appetizers will be served during cocktail hour. If you have any dietary restrictions, please include them when you RSVP so we can accommodate you!

Question

Who's in the wedding party?

Answer

Check out our Wedding Party page to see some cute pics and read some sweet words about a few of our favorite people. We’re so excited to have them help us celebrate our special day!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

During the ceremony, we kindly ask that you keep your phones tucked away so you can be fully present. Don’t worry—we’ve got a fantastic photographer and videographer capturing it all! After the ceremony, feel free to snap away. We’ll have QR codes around the venue so you can add your pics to our shared photo album and help us capture the fun!

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

You can find all our registry info on the Registry page. We’re also very happy to receive contributions to our honeymoon fund—Japan, here we come!

Question

I still have questions!

Answer

Feel free to reach out to us directly. We are happy to help (and we love an excuse to chat wedding things)!

Question

One last thing...

Answer

We invited each of you because you're an important part of our lives and our journey together—we truly want this to be a joyful, meaningful day shared with people we love and trust. That said, we won’t tolerate any form of hate, bigotry, or behavior that makes others feel unsafe or unwelcome. We also ask that everyone drink responsibly and treat the space, the vendors, and each other with care. We reserve the right to ask anyone to leave if their behavior crosses the line. Let’s keep the good vibes going!
