Matron of Honor
Kaitlynn and I have been best friends since elementary school! Not only did we go to school together, we danced together for more years than I can count, and our parents are the closest of friends. Through dance competitions, family trips, school, getting married, and a baby (!!!), we have been through it all together. She is family. Kaitlynn is my voice of reason... my go-to girl! She's the one who always knows what to do. To say I'd be lost without her is an immense understatement. I can't wait for her to stand by my side as I marry Ryan (...she's the one who will make sure I'm there on time - no easy task)!
Best Man
From group projects to nearly botching his engagement to being entrusted to officiate his wedding, Sam and I's friendship dates back to our time in Athens. At first, Sam was "that guy" who was too cool to live with the Sports Ad crew. Fast forward seven years and Sam is THAT GUY standing next to me as Carly and I embark on the next chapter of our relationship.
Maid of Honor
My Mri! She is my person, my other half, otherwise known as my parent's other daughter! We grew up together and spent every waking moment together. But really... every.single.day. She’s the one who knows me better than I know myself, the one who, no matter what happens, reminds me to never take life too seriously. When Mariah is around you are bound to have a smile on your face! I look forward to Ryan continuing to put up with her and I because we are most definitely a package deal!
Groomsman
316's adopted son, Kevin joined "The Lads" - Chris, Carson, and I - the summer between our first and second year of grad school at Ohio. Fiercely loyal and forever a voice of reason, Kevin and I's friendship blossomed throughout our time in school and was strengthened even further when Kevin decided to call Milwaukee home following graduation. Although he's since traded-in cheese curds and Spotted Cow for the subways and street meat of New York City, Kevin will always be an honorary Wisconsinite and hell of a friend.
Bridesmaid
Kate and I's friendship is my favorite story! It starts in our childhood when our older brothers played ice hockey together and we ran around the ice rink and became friends at a young age. Flash-forward to my last year at OU and we were both looking for a roommate. Although we hadn't seen each other in years, a mutual friend connected us, we become roommates, and have been inseparable ever since. There's no doubt that some people are placed in your life destined to be your bestie. She is definitely that person!
Groomsman
After spending 8+ hours in a pilot seat from Athens, OH to his hometown of Toronto during their summer in grad school, I owe my appreciation for late-night Chinese, poutine, and Carly's desire to be a dual-citizen to Brent Miller. Although there regrettably won't be Molson at the wedding (...*sorry*), if you make it to last call, Brent may grace you with his legendary chef skills and servings of Kraft Dinner that single-handedly fed the Class of 2015 for two years.
Bridesmaid
Ciara is my perfect, favorite sister-in-law. She has been a part of our family for well over 10 years! I like to think Andrew had me in mind when he married her because she’s one of my favorite people in the entire world. She’s the sweetest, most laid back girl anyone will ever meet and just crazy enough to put up with all of my brothers antics. We love her so dearly!
Groomsman
As an older brother to a younger sister myself, I knew just what it meant to be dating Carly, Andrew's younger sister. Fast forward a few years and a couple rounds of Jägermeister later, Andrew and I have been through everything from fender benders in the Finton driveway to capturing the moment Andrew popped the question in Tampa to being entrusted to officiate he and his wife's big day in May 2018. The real question at the end of wedding festivities: will he and I still have our shirts on?
Bridesmaid
Amanda is Ryan’s younger sister and definitely my favorite Schulman sibling 😁 Her fun personality is so contagious! We have the best times together and love giving Ryan a run for his money when we’re together! As we are calling our day “Saturday’s are for the Schulman’s” she and I will always know that Saturday’s are really for the girls! I can’t wait to have this girl as my sister!
Groomsman
After originally serving as the random roommate assignment during our time at Ohio, Chris O'Shea (...get ready for LOTS of chanting) and I quickly bonded over JJ Watt and our love for bourbon. From road trips to Auburn, AL to Orlando, FL to Lexington, KY, Chris and I have shared a ton of memories over the years and 2020 only adds to that list with me officiating Chris' wedding in Riviera Maya in May. *PSA* if you get handed a turkey baster full of gin at the wedding, just go with it and know you have Chris to thank!
Bridesmaid
My Jessie babe! She was lucky enough to be my college roommate our first year at OU. Kidding... lucky for me for sure! We started off living across the hall from each other in the dorm and after about two weeks, both of our roommates decided to leave. If that’s not fate, I don’t know what is! We quickly resolved our differences (...she’s a Steelers fan) and became best friends. She’s the yin to my yang. Big city, Pittsburgh girl meets small, hometown girl from Ohio. I couldn’t possibly love her any more!
Groomsman
From late nights on Court Street to summer days in the Florida heat, two years in Athens apparently wasn't enough for John and I as graduation found us holding down the fort in the Sunshine State (...literally). Although we occupied the Atlantic and Gulf coasts, respectively, that didn't stop Carly and I from welcoming in our favorite evacuee during tropical storms and hurricanes, often with trio dips at Green Lemon and plenty of memorable late-night Uber conversations home from SoHo. A #sportsbiz rockstar, there's no shortage of laughs and good times when you're around the pride of metro-Detroit.
Bridesmaid
Mackenzie and I’s friendship dates way back to...middle school? Although we went to different schools in different cities, our dance studio brought us together and we haven’t looked back since! We spent the majority of our years growing up in the studio and I could never be more grateful for the friendship that was made. Mackenzie and I are thick as thieves together! She gets me. She's hands-down my most fun friend. Most all of my favorite stories start with her. She’s full of life and the life of the party. Everyone needs a Mackenzie in their life!
Groomsman
After interviewing together at Ohio and ultimately taking the "redshirt" on enrollment to join the c/o 2015, Carson was one of the founding fathers and original architects of 316, an apartment that came to include he, Chris, Kevin, and myself. Meticulous with his bow tie game, a pocket square connoisseur, and the only guy who doesn't pronounce the "THEE" before Ohio State University, Carson and I have shared plenty of memories through the years, even when the Badgers have unfortunately come out on the wrong side of our matchups with the Buckeyes.
Officiant
Greg is Carly's uncle. Asking him to officiate our wedding was really a no brainer. If you know him, you understand. His genuine character, compassion, and kind-hearted nature are all things Ryan and I aspire to bring to our marriage. He is incredibly special to us and we are so grateful that he's agreed to be such an important part of our day!
Groomsman
Tanner and I were classmates while at OU and shared similar career interests in collegiate athletic fundraising upon graduation. Although he and his wife, Kelcie, and their baby boy, Gaines, moved to Tampa two years too late to be with Carly and I, our bond's endured (...no pun intended) over the years thanks, in part, to my unrelenting, albeit unwise, efforts to be best friends with their dog, Tebow. A Lexington native but Louisville grad, know this: Tanner's dance moves GET THE PEOPLE GOING!
