This is one of our favorite restaurants in Lisbon—we come here every time we visit. Our go-to dishes are the gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp), scarlet prawns and crab. Ending the meal with a prego (steak sandwich) is a must! They take reservations, but you can also put your name down and grab a drink at the bar/waiting room next door if you're feeling spontaneous.
ZeroZero is a great, laid-back spot for great pizza and Italian food. We especially love the Spaghetti ai Gamberi e Peperoncino (shrimp spaghetti) and the outdoor seating at the Principe Real location is a great place to hang out on a nice Lisbon day or evening. We recommend making a reservation!
For a memorable dining experience in Lisbon, we recommend Palácio Chiado - a beautiful, historic palace turned restaurant in the heart of Lisbon. We enjoyed a delicious meal here on a previous trip!
A great wine bar where the team helps pair Portuguese wines with delicious small plates.
Stop by Pastéis de Belém, the iconic bakery that's been serving up pastéis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts) since 1837.
A beautiful riverside promenade along the Tagus River, perfect for a stroll, a sunset, or a casual drink—especially at a quiosque, which are small open-air kiosks serving coffee, wine, beer, and light bites. We love sitting at quiosques around the city, and this promenade has a particularly great one right on the river.
For amazing panoramic views of Lisbon, we love the rooftop bar at Hotel Mundial. It’s a great spot to relax with a drink while watching the sunset and taking in the city skyline.
The V Rooftop at the Vintage Hotel is a great place to catch the sunset with sweeping views over Lisbon. It has a relaxed vibe and well-made cocktails!
Sintra is great for a day trip from Lisbon. Enjoy the local pastries (travesseiros and queijadas) at the local cafes in the town. Be sure to check out Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, and the Moorish Castle as well.
About 20 minutes from Sintra, Restaurante Azenhas do Mar is a great spot for fresh seafood with beautiful ocean views. It’s also a wonderful place to catch the sunset. After your meal, head over to Piscina Bar da Praia for a margarita and enjoy more great views of the coast.
Just 40 minutes from Lisbon by train or uber, Cascais is a charming coastal town known for its sandy beaches, scenic promenade, and relaxed seaside vibe. Spend the day exploring boutique shops, dining on fresh seafood, or simply relaxing by the ocean. Be sure catch the sunset on the cliffs of Boca do Inferno.
The venue is located in the beautiful Arrábida Natural Park. There are official hiking trails that start directly from the hotel. The hotel reception will be able to provide you with a map of the various trails.
