Question

Why Portugal?

Answer

With the majority of Saskia’s family in Germany and our love for travel, we always knew we’d be celebrating our wedding somewhere in Europe. Portugal felt like the perfect choice — a country we’ve loved exploring together, full of incredible food, beautiful landscapes, and a warm, welcoming culture. We’re so excited to share this place with the people we love most and to create new memories together in such a special setting.

Question

When should I arrive in Lisbon?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least 1–2 days before the wedding to get settled, adjust to the time difference, and enjoy the city. We’ll also be hosting a welcome event on Saturday, May 23, the day before the wedding—we’d love for you to join us! Details to come.

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

Late May in Lisbon is usually warm and sunny—expect highs in the 70s–80s°F (low to mid 20s°C). Evenings can be breezy.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We’d love to accommodate everyone, but due to space limitations, we’re only able to extend plus-ones to guests who receive one on their invitation. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We know many of you are traveling a long way to celebrate with us, and your presence truly is the best present. For those who still wish to give us a gift, we’ve created a honeymoon fund and registry to help us kick off our married life together.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Welcome Party Our welcome party will be smart casual. Think sundresses for women and linen shirts or polos for men. Wedding Day Our celebration will be formal / summer formal. Long dresses and suits are encouraged. Since we are celebrating in sunny Portugal feel free to embrace fun colors and patterns! Summer suits in lighter fabrics and colors are welcome. Ladies - we'll be celebrating outdoors, so block heels, wedges, or comfy shoes might be a better option than stilettos!
