Travel Note
From New York, there are non-stop flights from JFK (Delta, Jet Blue) and EWR (United) to St. Martin (SXM). From there you can take a 15 minute flight to St Barth (SBH) on Winair (SXM-SBH), book at www.fly-winair.sx (flights every 45 minutes). We recommend flying, but if you prefer you can take a 45 minute Ferry, book through www.greatbayferry.com or www.voy12.com (Limited times, 2-3/day) From New York you can also take a non-stop flight from JFK/EWR to San Juan Puerto Rico (SJU), and then a 1 hr flight to St Barth (SBH) via Tradewind Aviation (www.flytradewind.com) From the East Coast, we advise taking a morning flight as the airport in St. Barths closes at sunset. If you wish to rent a car to explore the island, please contact Avis, Hertz or Sixt to secure your vehicle. We recommend a convertible Mini Cooper! Hotel Christopher is also including round trip transfers for all our guests, so if you do not need a car, please let them know your itinerary to arrange. More info below.
Travel Note
St. Barths can be reached via St. Martin (SXM) or San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). Many cities offer non-stop flights and others have 1 stop. The most important thing to note is that the airport in St. Barths closes at sundown. If flying from far away, you may need to do an overnight stay in San Juan or St Martin and head to St Barth in the morning.
Flight
From San Juan, you'll take a one hour flight via Tradewind Aviation directly to St. Barths. These flights depart daily at 11:25am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, and 4:30pm, as well as in the morning at 6:45am, and 9:55am (applicable if overnighting in San Juan). They fly Pilatus planes, are very comfortable, and go through their own private security. Most importantly, you bypass customs, making the trip as seamless as possible. Flying to San Juan and connecting through Tradewind is our suggestion, if possible for you.
Flight
From St. Martin, you'll take a 12 minute flight on either Winair or St. Barth Commuter. Be sure to give yourself 1.5 to 2 hours from landing in St. Martin to departure to St. Barths to clear customs and to check in for your next flight. Travel Note
There are regularly scheduled ferries from St. Martin to St. Barths. The voyage takes approximately one hour. Please be advised that the trip can be a bit choppy. Ferry companies Voyager and Great Bay Express operate daily, and should be booked based on when your flight lands in St. Martin.
