Things To Do

Le Tamarin (Dinner)

Le Tamarin (Dinner)

Tamarin is easygoing by day, and more lively and convivial at night, when the expansive garden is lit, people have migrated to the foosball and ping pong tables, and the cocktails are flowing. Some tables are set in the garden itself, while others are sheltered under the main building and overlook lily-pad-lined ponds. The menu has a bit of everything: pan-fried foie gras, tuna tartare, chicken and hummus salad, and gambas a la plancha with soba noodles. If you’re just coming for drinks, head to the lounge in the back.

Bonito (Dinner)

Bonito (Dinner)

Overlooking Gustavia Harbor, Bonito sets the standard of chic terrace lounges. The nautical-chic restaurant is perched up on a hill, which makes for stellar views of the town below for those want to enjoy the scenic sunset. Offering a mixed scene of dining and late-night drinks, visitors arrive to a tranquil island-inspired space of mostly white decor and steady roll of electronic music. One of the best ceviche bars on the island includes locally caught-fish and shellfish specialties served in crisp porcelain and glass serving dishes. Dinner is not a formal affair, serving a medley of bite size specialties ranging from fish tacos and pasta dishes to more elaborate Asian appetizers and French meat entrees of chicken and beef.

La Guérite (Dinner)

La Guérite (Dinner)

La Guerite restaurant on the point of the Port of Gustavia, alongside fishing boats and majestic yachts, the restaurant offers unparalleled cuisine from the Mediterranean basin. The island’s clientele was immediately seduced by its charm, its authenticity, and its cuisine. From grilled meat and fish by way of aromatic herbs and marinades, using various cooking styles, La Guérite will take you on a culinary voyage from the lemon trees of Amalfi to the Cyclades.

Hike to Colombier beach

Hike to Colombier beach

This one-of-kind beach can only be accessed by boat or by foot. There are two paths to take: one from the top of Colombier (downhill first, steep up- more of a workout), and one from the very end of Flamands beach (scenic the whole way, a bit longer, relatively flat though over rocks). Wear a bathing suit, shorts, and a pair of proper sneakers, and bring a towel! Lots of goats!

For all the days along the way
