FAQs

Question

Is there parking on-site?

Answer

Yes, plenty of parking is available at the venue.

Question

What’s the best way to get to the venue?

Answer

We highly recommend renting a car if you’re not staying near the venue. For airport info, check out the Travel section of the website. At this time, we do not plan to offer a shuttle service (but this may change).

Question

Are accommodations provided?

Answer

We are providing accommodations for some guests, but not everyone. If you have a reserved stay, you will be notified directly. For everyone else, there are many Airbnb and vacation rentals nearby. Since the area is full of wedding venues, we highly recommend booking ASAP! The closest major city is Leesburg (20 minutes away), which has several hotel options.

Question

Do I need to attend all four days of the retreat?

Answer

We’d LOVE for you to join us for all the events, but it’s not required. Our goal is to create a relaxed environment where everyone can get to know each other, share quality time, and have an amazing wedding night. (Yes, there will be some cheesy icebreakers, and yes, they will be fun!)

Question

Do I need to RSVP for specific events during the weekend?

Answer

Yes! When you RSVP to the wedding, please let us know which events you’ll be attending. RSVPs will open when we send out official invitations in spring/summer.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation for plus-one details.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Yes! Expect a fleet of munchkins running around and having a blast.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early November in Purcellville can be unpredictable! While the average high is typically around 58°F, last year it was 80°F on November 1st—so anything is possible. Expect cool evenings (40s or lower) and pack layers to stay comfortable!

Question

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors on the lawn, so we recommend avoiding pointy heels or anything that sinks into grass. Comfortable shoes are best for dancing, exploring, and enjoying the weekend!

Question

Will there be outdoor activities?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, so dress accordingly. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the fresh air—pack comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and any gear for activities like an outdoor movie night, hiking, and exploring.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

No worries—we’ve planned for all weather! The ceremony and cocktail hour will move indoors or use covered areas if needed. (But please bring some good juju so this doesn't happen!)

Question

Will meals be provided?

Answer

Yes! Meals will be provided during the Welcome Party, Wedding, and Send-Off Brunch. The Movie Night will have light snacks, so we recommend bringing food or eating beforehand.

Question

I have dietary restrictions. Will there be options for me?

Answer

Absolutely! Please include your dietary preferences when you RSVP, and we’ll make sure you’re covered.
