Question

Will the wedding or reception be outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be inside District Winery, followed by a cocktail hour on the patio. In the event of inclement weather, the patio can be covered, heated, and/or enclosed. For the remainder of the celebration, we'll be back inside District Winery.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Hotel block info is available under the "Travel" section of the website. If a vacation rental or inn is more your style, feel free to explore! District Winery is in the Navy Yard neighborhood, but we are partial to the nearby Capitol Hill/Eastern Market area.

Should I stay the entire weekend?

Answer

Totally up to you! We know many of our friends and family are traveling from out of town for the big day. Whether you’re coming in for a quick visit or spending the whole weekend in D.C., we can’t wait to celebrate with you. The “Schedule” page on our wedding website includes a few additional opportunities to gather and spend time together.

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! Please include them on your RSVP and let us know if you’ll need a highchair. While we won’t have on-site childcare, we will have a “Kids’ Corner” where little ones can take a break and play during the reception.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

At District Winery? But of course! An open bar will be available for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour, dinner, and the remainder of the reception. We do recommend bringing cash or a credit card if you plan to attend any additional events during our wedding weekend, as drinks at those events will not be covered.
