When should I RSVP by?

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are providing transportation between the Charlotte Marriott City Center to the ceremony and then to the reception. The shuttle will leave promptly at 3:45 PM from the Church Street side of the Marriott—please board the bus marked “Hartsema/Hays.” All guests, including those not staying at the hotel, are welcome to use this service. The shuttle will return guests to the Marriott at the end of the reception.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

There is limited parking at the church and the Duke Mansion. We recommend guests use the provided transportation or a ride share service.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to limited space at the venue, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We absolutely adore your kids! However, due to venue guest limitations, if your invitation did not include their names, we kindly ask that you enjoy the evening off as parents and celebrate with us!

What is the dress code?

Our celebration will be semi-formal attire, such as dresses, dressy separates, or a suit and tie. Please note that the cocktail hour and dinner will be outside (weather permitting).

What should I expect at the Welcome Party on Friday?

Answer

Our Welcome Party is a casual, drop-in gathering open to all guests - feel free to stop by, mingle, and enjoy light appetizers and drinks the night before our wedding. Come as you are and stay as long (or as short) as you’d like. Please note that there is limited parking at the Atherton Parking Garage, located at 2000 South Boulevard.
