It was the summer of 2011. Steve had recently graduated from Rider University, where SarahBeth had been attending. They both happened to be invited to the same backyard barbecue in Helmetta, NJ. Steve had been there hanging out and mingling, when SarahBeth showed up (late of course). He says he heard her before he saw her and wondered who the outgoing and bubbly girl coming in was. The two quickly started talking and realized they had a lot in common. Not only had they both attended Rider, but they were also involved in Greek Life. Steve was a member of TKE and SarahBeth had pledged ZTA. Steve asked SarahBeth to be his beer pong partner and she agreed. Together they ran the table all night, undefeatble, even though SarahBeth was not the most skilled pong player. A week later, Steve sent SarahBeth a message on Facebook and invited her to a party. They again spent time together at the party and became friends. Steve and SarahBeth would often run into each other at parties and bars around Rider. Over time, they lost touch but remained friends on social media. Fast forward years later, they began talking on Instagram. Steve called SarahBeth on the phone and they talked all night and it was like no time had passed. They agreed meet up a week later. After a few holes of monster mini golf and some games of air hockey, they had sushi at Steve’s favorite spot: Ikko. From then on, they would continue to go on a few more dates and quickly realized they had both found something special. Now they are ready to stand before their family and friends to say “I do”.
