What are the COVID-19 travel restrictions?

Answer

We can only extend the invitation to our wedding to those of you who have been fully vaccinated. Currently Barbados is only accepting travellers who have been vaccinated. There is technically also the option to travel unvaccinated and quarantine for 14 days on the island, however this will not affect our decision about asking everyone in attendance at the wedding to be vaccinated. As we want to ensure absolute safety for all of our guests we must insist on asking everyone to respect this decision with no exceptions. Entering Barbados: 1) you must have EITHER a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 3 days of departure of your flight OR a negative rapid test administered by a health care professional 24 hours prior to departure of your flight 2) you must provide proof of full vaccination 3) you may be selected for random COVID-19 rapid screening at the airport We will be updating this information, so check back frequently.

What are COVID-19 restrictions in Barbados?

The COVID-19 pandemic restrictions are always evolving - so we don't know what it's going to look like next April. Currently, as long as you are fully vaccinated you are free to move about the island freely. Mask-wearing in public spaces is being enforced. This includes the hotel area. You are asked to wear a mask when in-transit (walking to the pool, to your room, getting food at the buffet) but once you have arrived (in the pool, at the beach, sitting at the restaurant etc.) you are free to remove your mask.

How do I book extra nights at the hotel?

Answer

We are inviting each of you to stay with us at Tamarind by Elegant Hotels for 4 nights. This cost is being covered for you. If you would like to book additional nights, please contact the hotel directly. When contacting the hotel tell them your name and that you are part of "SarahAnn and Reese's Wedding Party Block" and they will be able to locate the room we have booked for you, and give you more information on cost of extending your stay. We have secured a discounted rate with the hotel, which they will honour up to 3 nights before and 3 nights after the reserved time. However please note that an extended stay will only be available if they have room, so to book we advise the sooner the better.

Can I bring a plus 1?

Each of your invitations specified who has been invited on our wedding trip. We ask you to respect our choices for the guest list. If you are unsure please reach out to us personally.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?

Answer

The airport is a 30 minute drive from the hotel. The hotel offers the option to book a shuttle from the airport to the hotel for an additional fee, or cabs will be available upon arrival. Please account for this cost yourselves.

What costs do I need to worry about?

Answer

We are coving the cost of your 4 night stay at the hotel. Please note that they will be asking you for a credit card upon checkin to cover incidentals (as long as you don't break anything or order fancy food or drink, you should not be charged). The hotel package is all-inclusive - your room charge, 3 meals a day, bar service, access to water sports, the pool and the beach are all included. Visit the hotel website for more details. You are responsible for booking and paying your own flight. You will need to arrange transportation to and from the airport in Barbados. You can easily catch a cab at the airport and the hotel will be happy to call one for you as well. Any off-resort excursions or trips you want to do, please account for those costs as well.
