Wedding Party

Meet the people who are helping to get us down the aisle! We are so incredibly blessed and grateful that these people are in our lives!

Kari Kelly

Maid of Honor

Sarah and I met my freshman year at SIU and from the moment we met I knew that we'd be fast friends. She's been a mentor, sister, and best friend to me for the best 4 years of my life. I've seen how much love she and Zac have for one another and I can't wait to stand with her when my favorite couple finally ties the knot!

Kyle Connor

Best Man

I made Zac a big brother when he was 3. When he was 13, I outgrew him making him my little big brother. Zac has taught me a lot over the years, like the ghost man is always out when he is on my team, but always safe if he is on his. Also, in whiffle ball, that if the ball hits the tree when he hits it, it's a home run, but if I hit the tree it's an out. He also taught me important things, not to play magic games in the cafeteria, or if I did, not to tell anyone I was his brother. Sarah, don't let him teach your kids the rules of games. Seriously, he is the best brother anyone could ask for. I admire him in many ways, and am proud of all he has done, I hope to be like him. One of the best things he ever accomplished was getting Sarah to agree date him, and eventually marry him.

Bridesmaid

When I first met Sarah, I wasn't sure if our partnership was going to work out. All I knew was that this girl could talk! Little did I know, that this loquacious teacher would quickly become one of my closest friends. I couldn't imagine working beside anyone else for two years sharing all the laughs, sarcastic quips, smiles, and frustrations. Sarah has always had my back and supported me whether it was with a teaching or personal decision and I can't explain how much that has meant to me. It is truly my honor to support her and stand by her on this special day.

Darby Christopher

Bridesmaid/Officiant

I met Sarah in our freshman year math class. She was the star student who sat up front and answered all the questions correctly. I sat in the back wearing pajamas and eating the chips I snuck in. I noticed her positivity and energy right away. Somehow, she noticed me too! We were roommates for two years and when we weren't in class or our sorority events, we were at Phi Tau. That's where we met Zac! I had the privilege to watch Zac win her over (and me as well, what a cool dude). I may have even been the one who convinced her to take a chance on that cute ROTC boy. : ) Sarah has always been the person supporting me and helping me grow. I am so honored to be the person standing by her side and supporting her as she marries her person!!

Austin Diericx

Groomsman

I've known Sarah since grade school and met Zac when we decided to rush the same fraternity. The first couple of months I didn't really know who he was, so much so that when he got a buzzcut I thought he was a new pledge. After that, I got to know Zac better and it turns out we've got a lot in common. Since then we've been roommates, moved to Texas, and he will be a groomsman at my wedding in September 2019. I've seen their relationship grow from the "talking" phase to being at the nature preserve when Zac proposed to Sarah and am honored to be a part of their special day.

Cameron Ray

Bridesmaid

Sarah and I met a couple of years ago at the school where we both work. Little did either of us know we would become great friends so fast. We quickly bonded over our many common interests including classic children's books, childhood vacations spots, and higher education to name a few. It didn't take long to realize that Sarah was a kind hearted person who gives herself wholeheartedly to any task. She also has the most joyous spirit of anyone I know, and that joy is abundant in her relationship with Zac! I can't wait to watch them spread the joy as they walk through life together!

Bridesmaid

I was born three years into Sarah's life and she has been a huge source of inspiration and wisdom since. I am so honored to be sharing this experience with Sarah and Zac. They're a great match who balance each other wonderfully. Congratulations to you both!

Nick Marasovich

Groomsman

I met Zac when I rushed Phi Kappa Tau. Let me tell you I have never seen a man with a more aggressive mullet in my life. Nothing will ever beat our advice and Busch latte driven talks at Sidetracks as we sat there like old souls from 9pm to 10pm. Now Zac is great but he is no Dixie. However, we all know that the real queen of the family is the beautiful Sarah. From the first time I met her she has been in my phone as "Sarah (Connor)". Little did I know, look where they are at now! Looking forward to being part of the big day. Who knows, maybe Steph and I will be right where you are at soon? Much love for these two and their pups!

Vanessa Scranton

Maid of Honor

When I made Sarah a big sister again, I was not the little brother she dreamed of. Little did she know, 15 years later I would have the honor to be her bridesmaid. Sarah has always been one of my biggest supporters and I'm so incredibly thankful to call her my sister and Zac my soon-to-be brother-in-law.

Ryan Stroup

Groomsman

I met Zac the Summer before his Freshman year at SIU. I was a part of the recruitment team for our fraternity. Helping Zac move into the dorms, he had several cases of Monster and thus he became known as Monster pledge. I was privileged in watching and helping Zac ask Sarah to their first semi-formal and later watching these awesome individuals start dating and even making the commitment of adding Dixie to the family.
