COVID

We understand that making plans during this pandemic can be stressful, annoying, and simply very difficult! We are here to talk as you make decisions and plans regarding traveling to our wedding, and we understand whole-heartedly if you decide that you cannot make it.
Question

What are the state of Maine's current rules regarding large gatherings?

Answer

The state of Maine released new guidelines in early March! It looks like outdoor events in June will be allowed at full capacity (yay!) and indoor events are still at 75% capacity. For the church and our outdoor reception, it looks like we're all good to go! We will continue closely monitoring the laws to make sure that we are prioritizing everyone’s health and safety.

Question

Will we have to wear masks?

Answer

If the CDC and health officials are still recommending the wearing of masks, we will require our guests to wear masks. We take the pandemic very seriously, and we do not want to put anyone at risk unnecessarily. If you have the opportunity to get a vaccine, we encourage and support you doing so! UPDATE: We are vaccinated! + at least 75% of our guest list is also vaccinated!

Question

Should we quarantine?

Answer

Everyone has a different life situation and has unique circumstances to the number of people they surround themselves with on a daily basis. We recommend, if possible, limiting the number of people you see in the weeks leading up to the wedding. We know this is a big request, but we all understand how serious this pandemic is. Throughout the pandemic we have been cautious as to not hang out with large groups, and to always wear masks. We hope the same from our guests. Think about your unique situation and how you can best ensure that those around you will be protected. After the wedding, we encourage you to follow the 7 day quarantine protocol.

Question

I might feel sick, but I don't want to miss your wedding! What do I do?

Answer

We understand that planning a trip to Maine is a big deal. You've already made plans (hopefully hotels and airlines are still understanding with refunds) and you're all ready to come, but you feel a bit sick. You don't want to let us down and miss out on the fun. We promise you, we understand how disappointing this would be. But we ask that if you feel sick, please stay home. It is simply not worth the risk to anyone, those attending the wedding and those outside of our circle who would be affected by a domino effect. We will zoom and facetime and catch up, and we will feel your love and support from a far.
