Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Kristin Herbert

Maid of Honor

My big sister who is the party planner and the hardest working teacher I know!

Stephanie Hilleman

Bridesmaid

We have known each other since Freshman year in college and was one of the best roommates a girl could ask for!

Brie Vanderbeek

Bridesmaid

Sarah's Cousin who married James Vanderbeek! (Sorry not the one from Dawson's Creek) Brie and Sarah have been performing to En Vogue, Dolly Parton, and many more on our mothers sofas. Don't be surprised to see them getting down on the dance floor at the wedding!

Michelle Derwin

Bridesmaid

Sarah's sewing partner in crime! Met at MCTC for sewing in 2010 and have been getting into trouble ever since!

Kevin Kirkpatrick

Bridesman

Sarah's cousin who is 6 months to the day older than her. He has the best advice on nutrition and skincare and always knows how to have a good time!

Colton Herbert

Ring Bearer

Comedian of the family. The nephew who can get away with anything with those blue eyes! He loves Domino's pizza.

Jumbo

Ring Bearer

Although he is obsessed with licking babies, eating trash and breaking into fridges, he's actually a lovable dog.

Spencer Woodward

Officiant

Spencer has a passion for the finer things in life: like Prince, Ween, Scorsese, etc. which makes it so hard to understand why he is such a huge fan of the Vikings and Gophers... (perhaps he is also a glutton for punishment?). As a longtime friend, Sarah and Wes have enjoyed countless trips, concerts and memories with him and his wife, Jess.

Josh Mandelman

Groomsman

Josh prefers to introduce Wes as his "heterosexual life partner." The fact that this sentiment is rarely reciprocated, is a testament to his fiercely loyal friendship. Josh is a competitive athlete and has pioneered many legendary battles in Tire Golf, Tree Roof Ball, Roll Yah Pole Boat, Quarterback Challenge and Sandcean Sackball. If it isn't obvious, he has never beaten Wes in any of these games or any other ones, ever and forever.

Jeremy Imhoff

Groomsman

Jeremy and Wes met on the first day of Kindergarten and Wes was so excited to tell his mom about his new friend "Germy" when he arrived home. "I think you mean Jeremy?" she said. "No. His name is Germy." 30+ years of bone sharpening, pricky pine bush rashes and friendship later, he is still very much Germy. Although these two have spent 3 decades growing up into men, they still act like 5 year-olds whenever they're together. Also, Germy's son is a Seahawks fan, so he clearly needs all your parenting advice.

Pete Shoys

Groomsman

It was clear that Pete was a wild man when he and Wes met in grade school. This was evidenced by his thick, Coke bottle glasses and the sports strap that held them on his head. Business in front, party in the rear as they say... These two have had an unwavering friendship both on and off the tennis court throughout their teen years and beyond.

Aaron "Butters" Bartel

Groomsman

There is no shortage of inside jokes between Butters and Wes. These two have been "fitting in" all across the globe -- from the U of M, to Seattle, Green Bay, Proland, and most recently Busan, South Korea. NBD. If he gets too excited at the wedding, look into his almond eyes and tell him to take a time out behind the couch- just don't forget the bag of Skittles.

Landon Herbert

Program Attendant

When the Joker isn’t getting into trouble with his little brother he is reading books and playing sports. He has a huge heart and is the cuddler in the family, so he shares a lot in common with his Auntie Poison Ivy.

Sophie Gosser

Program Attendant

Aside from being the best niecey ever to her unkies, she is supremely talented. She will beat you in basketball and exclaim her signature "Swish Cheese!" catch phrase after made baskets ("Don't steal that. Its what I say.") and she knows her way around a volleyball net (to say the least). Not to mention, she can dance, sing any top 40 song on the radio w/ precision and panache, do math and pretty much everything else. Catch her in a local, upcoming Little Mermaid production before she heads to Broadway...

For all the days along the way
