We first met in the hanger at NAS Pensacola-making small talk we quickly realized we had so many paralleling lives......Sarah is stationed in Oklahoma - Travis grew up in Oklahoma and all of his family is there. He was born in Nebraska - her family lives in Nebraska, etc. Chatting on, we learned we both love the water and anything outdoors. In true southern gentleman style Travis invited Sarah kayaking one morning to watch the Blue Angels fly. The first date went so well it lasted over 12 hours! We kayaked all morning around the base watching planes fly, conversation and laughter was flowing so we decided to go have bbq ribs for lunch...that went so well we continued the date and drove to see all the history at Fort Pickens...which turned into a long walk on the beach at sunset...still not wanting the date to end we stopped for margaritas on our way back to base. Best (and longest) first date ever! The rest is history! From that day forward we walk the beach every chance we get, reflecting and laughing at how it all began. Our chance encounter meeting that first day on base led us to be grateful for finding the greatest companionship we never knew existed. We know it is asking a lot of everyone to travel to Pensacola for the wedding, but we whole-heartedly understand and respect those unable to make the journey. We cannot wait to say "I Do" with you right where we had our first hello, our first date, and fell in love!
