Absolutely, Homewood is a small town with little to no public transportation. You will want a car & or to carpool with others.
Yes. Transportation will be provided for guests to & from the wedding who are staying at the recommended hotels as well as guests booking VRBO's or campsites in Homewood, Tahoma & Meeks Bay. Please confirm where you are staying with our planner Cassandra Ream | assist@artinmotiondesign.com. The shuttle service schedule will be available closer to the wedding date.
Dressy casual. Men - For example, button-down shirt with nice slacks. You know, just kind of try a little. Ladies - A block heel is a must (stilettos aren't really your friend here; you will sink in the grass). Summer dress, pantsuit or nice slacks with a blazer. Wear something that makes you feel good & comfortable - and of course, something you can dance in! We highly recommend comfortable shoes for all. We hope you spend a little time exploring Sugar Pine Point - and can actually walk around comfortably.
We have a special dinner planned for you as gathering around a table together is something we are most excited to share with our family and friends. Please let us know if you have any food allergies & or dietary restrictions.
YES! We share the Tahoe Basin with black bears, who are relatively harmless but love breaking into cars. Here's some tips: - Don’t leave trash, groceries or animal feed in your car. - Keep barbecue grills clean and stored in a garage or shed when not in use. - Don’t leave any scented products outside, including non-food items like suntan lotion and candles. - Keep doors and windows closed and locked. - Never intentionally feed bears in order to attract them for viewing. - When hiking make noise to prevent surprising a bear. Clap, sing or talk loudly. - Keep dogs on a leash. - If you encounter a bear in the wild, back away slowly.
