Maid of Honor
Sari and Sarah met at age two when Sarah escaped preschool to play with Sari's animals (checks out, right?). Many mud puddles later, they remain best friends and let's be honest, family.
Best Man
Ryan's been lucky to have James as an older brother. Growing up, Ryan followed in his footsteps so they could play drums together (Eric soon joined the club) and got to watch and learn as James made all the mistakes first. He is also a great dad to Ryan's nephew, Tommy.
Bridesmaid
Megan and Sarah became fast friends in Omaha while working together as photographers at the Omaha World-Herald. Now they both live in Seattle and spend whenever they can together on mountain adventures.
Best Man
Ryan and his younger brother, Eric, could always be found together out exploring new places when they were growing up. From fishing and catching frogs on the banks of Lake Kagawong in Ontario to tide pooling and investigating starfish in Port Angeles, Washington, they're still at it, but now with dogs and cold brew in hand.
Officiant and Bridesmaid
Abby and Sarah met in NFTY, a Jewish youth group, and Abby helped bring out Sarah's inner cruncher. They have never lived in the same city but have traveled the world together only to become closer over the years.
Groomsman
Sam and Ryan have been friends since their first photo class at OU. Together, they started exploring Southeast Ohio searching for the Moonshine Festival. Sam is a secret genius, photographs found objects, and gives TED talks around the world.
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Ryan met Dorothy by chance when a mutual friend brought her to bonfire at their house in Omaha. Dorothy was the cool girl and Sarah really wanted to be friends with her. Fast forward years later, Sarah and Dorothy work together and spend all their time hiking, giggling and talking about their feelings. During the pandemic as 'podmates' they switched off cooking homemade dinners for each other every Sunday.
Groomsman
Jake, Sarah's younger brother, loves ultimate frisbee, his cat, Carl, and putting everything but the kitchen sink in scrambled eggs. He's always the life of the party and Willow's favorite person.
Bridesmaid
Maddy and Sarah immediately bonded over Minnesota in their freshman year of college at Mizzou. They lived together in an apartment with a slanted floor for the next three years and shared all their favorite college memories. The day after Ryan and Sarah's first kiss, Maddy said, "You're going to marry him."
Groomsman
Drew and Ryan met in their photo class at Ohio University, but became friends in line at Chipotle. Drew was a late addition to the photo program but quickly schooled everyone. Since that time in 2007, Drew, Sam, Joel, and Ryan have had a never-ending text thread. Ryan and Drew also never thought they would be cat guys.
Bridesmaid
Eve and Sarah have known each other since they were in diapers. They are the only people in each other's lives who can talk photojournalism and awkward middle school memories in the same conversation.
Groomsman
Joel was the glue that brought "the thread" together with his invite-only soup parties at school in Athens, OH - they were definitely the cool kids. Joel still lets them blow his phone up with texts and always knows the perfect time to drop his wisdom.
