Maid of Honor
Sarah's first and original partner-in-crime (the first of many!), Melanie is Sarah's younger sister. She lives in San Francisco, California, and works for Autodesk, where she runs laps around folks when it comes to event design and execution. If you need something done, Melanie's your person. She is loyal to the ends of the earth, is the life of a party, and says it like it is - qualities Sarah ultimately ended up searching for in every one of her closest female friendships. She knows Sarah inside and out, and has some pretty killer dance moves when she gets into it (be on the lookout!).
Best Man
Ross met Ted in the first grade, and they've been friends ever since. Whether it was shared childhood dreams of running off to the jungle to study monkeys together, adventures through Costa Rica or drinking their way through Eastern Europe, Ted (and his twin brother, Chris) have always been Ross's closest friends. Ted works for the University of Pennsylvania, is wicked funny and a huge Eagles fan.
Matron of Honor
Tiff is Sarah's sister from another mister (and mamma). They met when they were 12 years old in middle school, when they both had a crush on the same boy and needed to 'scope out' the competition. Tiff is one of Sarah's oldest friends - they were each other's first travel buddies, touring the UK and France together as 18 year olds, venturing all the way to Sarah's family's rural hometown village of St. Caradec in Brittany. Tiff's been published in the New York Times, the Atlantic and BBC, and constantly amazes Sarah with her talent, style and insights into... well, everything.
Best Man
Ross met Te-- I mean Chris -- in the first grade, and they've been friends ever since. They were the three amigos and still are. You'll be able to tell them apart by the end of the wedding - promise! Chris was always the idealistic one and spent a few years in politics trying to make the world a better place. Now he has settled back in the Philadelphia area and enjoys heading to Eagles and Phillies games whenever possible.
Bridesmaid
Jeanette Hayman is based in Seattle, Washington, and has been friends with Sarah since they were in middle school in California. They actually first met as gymnasts at Twisters gym, and later went on to play both high school and club field hockey together - traveling all over the country to play tournaments. They've traveled across the world together, too, making unforgettable memories in Ireland, Egypt, the UK and Norway. Jeanette is the type of friend who will drive half way across the state of California to do you a favor, laugh and cry with you, and makes the best cinnamon bread ever.
Groomsman
The 'other Ross.' Putman and Ross met as toddlers when their parents were part of the same babysitting group, but reconnected in middle school. Putman ran off to LA after college to pursue a career in film, and has since made quite a few indie movies (some of which you may have even heard of), like 'First Girl I Loved' and 'In a Relationship.' Eight years later, Ross (Christiansen) joined him in LA where they both live today.
Bridesmaid
Claire Lepke lives in London, UK, where her and Sarah first met (through Sarah's friend and now Claire's husband, Kirk, who introduced them to one another many years ago). Claire is one of Sarah's dearest girlfriends from her six years in London. They've spent many a night tucking away a few too many glasses of wine, are each other's "3am call" buddies, and was the friend that Ross turned to for a bit of ring advice. While they may seem pretty different from one another at first, they both hugely value honest, loyal friendships, and know how to have fun! When Claire loves you, she loves you with all she's got, and is fiercely protective of her friends and family.
Groomsman
Tyler and Ross met in their freshman dorm at the University of Pennsylvania, where Tyler was the teetotaler who tagged along to all the frat parties anyway. Today he fluctuates between refined mixologist and throw-whatever-is-at-hand into a drink and call it 'experimental'. Tyler is from Cape Cod, and was a management consultant for many years until he changed careers, joining Teach for America. He's been a teacher in St Louis, Missouri ever since.
Bridesmaid
Aurelia is based in San Jose, California, and is one of Sarah's cousins. Aurelia, Melanie, and Sarah were often mistaken for triplets when they were growing up, and spent countless summers together at their grandparent's home in St. Caradec, Brittany. You can be sure, when these three women get together, it's always a long, rip-roaring hilarious night. Aurelia is compassionate, hard-working, kind, and makes Sarah laugh non-stop. Tip: ask her about the time her and Sarah woke up on lazy-boy recliners surrounded by ankle-deep water in an AirBnB.
Groomsman
Ravi and Ross met in their freshman dorm at the University of Pennsylvania, where lawyer-to-be Ravi couldn't help but debate politics at every opportunity. After working in corporate law for a few years, Ravi made the switch to management consulting. Ravi is based in New York city, loves to run, and never fails to make fun of Tyler when he can. The three of them have gone on many trips together, most recently in Montreal for the F1 Grand Prix.
Bridesmaid
Justine is based in London, UK, and was one of the first girlfriends that Sarah made in London. They met at Claire's husband's birthday party, and the rest was history. Justine frequently travels to California for work, where her, Sarah and Ross often go wine-tasting in Napa and beach board-walk cruising in LA. She is also an integral part of Ross and Sarah's story: she was the first friend to meet Ross, which happened to take place the night of the UK referendum when folks voted for Brexit. Justine is the most understanding person that Sarah knows, and equally intelligent, stunning, as well as a tried-and-true thirsty-Thursday partner-in-crime.
Groomsman
Nick and Ross met in middle school and now they are business partners in LA striving to take over the world of after school science education with their company, Professor Egghead. Nick will beat anyone at Scrabble - he's even played competitively in tournaments. He and Ross often cycle around the hills of LA, which Nick first moved to after graduating from the University of Maryland.
Bridesmaid
Gigi is an attorney with her own practice in Newark, NJ, and one of the most boss women that Sarah has ever met. Equally as short and loud (and opinionated!) as Sarah, the two met as freshman at the University of California, San Diego, on the first day of orientation. The rest is history. Sarah always stopped by G's during her visits to the US while living in Egypt and the UK. They've traveled Cairo and Rome together, hunkered down together through hurricanes and power outages, finding the fun and ridiculous in every moment, and savoring all of Gigi's amazing cooking. Gigi is incredibly thoughtful and resourceful - and a rock to all who get to call her a friend.
Master of Ceremonies
As with most good stories, Sarah's cousin, Amelie, and Ross first met in Las Vegas. It was there that Amelie decreed "Lock it down, Sarah!" Again, the rest is history. Whether it's celebrating Amelie's 40th birthday in Las Vegas with Kygo, inner-tubing across Lake Washington, hiking Griffith Park, or taking shotskiis in Whistler for Ross's 33rd birthday, Ross, Sarah, Amelie and her husband, Judson, keep finding ways to spend weekends together despite living far apart!
Ring Security and Petal Patrol
These two kids can school everyone in wake-boarding and karate, and are all-around cool. Tristan is hilarious (note: when Ross tried wake-boarding for the first time, Tristan made sure to tell him that he 'could get up now' after the first few failed attempts) and Gisele is fearless (ask her parents to see the video of her rocketing down Whistler). They live in Seattle with their parents, Judson and Amelie (Sarah's cousin), and will be the cutest ring security and petal patrol you've ever seen. Say hi in French or English - they're bilingual, too!
Officiant
Ask most people at a party (or wedding!) how they know each other, and the answer is often (and unsurprisingly): 'We met through Brian.' He's the friend that brings people together. While Brian and Sarah have known each other since blonde tips were cool (aka middle school) in California, they've also spent a lot of time together in London where they both used to live. They met their spouses - Tanya and Ross - at nearly the same time, and the four of them have since traveled the world, spending lots of fun weekends together in Egypt, Italy, Spain, and across the US. Fun fact: Brian is an All-American water polo player.
