Ross and Sarah met in May 2016 in London, where they both lived and worked for many years. Sarah had just moved into a new apartment building in Islington and Ross - being the nice guy that he is - offered to help her get settled in. Sarah invited Ross out for a few 'thank you' beers, thinking it was a subtle way of asking Ross out. But he knew. Their first beer turned into two (just kidding, more like 4), which turned into dinner, which turned into seeing each other every day. After a whirlwind summer, they made things official after a September weekend in Paris. Two days later, Ross moved to Los Angeles, CA, to start up his own business with his partner and groomsman, Nick Fraher. For the next nine months they traveled back and forth between London and Los Angeles to see each other. By April 2017, Sarah had a new job in San Francisco and had moved in with their officiant, Brian Whitlock, and his wife, Tanya Gandy. They flew to see each other every weekend for over a year, until they got a flat together in Silver Lake, LA, in the summer of 2018. In early December, while Sarah got ready for a dinner that she thought was just another night out, Ross got ready to propose. He had planned to pop the question at the top of a hill they often hike in their neighborhood, with views of all of LA. A photographer was on the ready to snap the moment. Much to his surprise, Ross and Sarah woke up to tropical-style rain that did not let up all day. Ross quickly changed his plans, decorating their flat in rose petals and candles while Sarah got dressed upstairs none-the-wiser. It's all a bit of a blur for Sarah now, but after Ross got down on one knee (and she said yes!), they celebrated with champagne and dinner at 71Above, a mirror image of their first date night at Oblix at The Shard in London. They're very excited for their future together and for you all to be a big part of their special day!
