Things To Do

We love Colorado and there are so many things to see and do. Here is a short list of some highlights.

Glenwood Canyon

Glenwood Canyon

Glenwood Springs, CO 81601

You would have drove through here on way from Denver to Colorado Springs. Nonetheless, beautiful canyon cut by the Colorado River. Also this stretch of Interstate 70 is the jewel of America's interstate system for it's design in preserving the natural curves of the Colorado River and it's low environmental impact.

Hanging Lake

Hanging Lake

CO 81601

Steep trail up to a gorgeous natural lake in Glenwood Canyon. Enjoy the gentle waterfalls!

Independence Pass

Independence Pass

CO 81210

Drive up to the top of Independence Pass south of Aspen and enjoy the views from atop the Continental Divide. All the water on the west side flows to the Pacific and all the water on the east side flows towards the Atlantic.

Aspen

Aspen

Aspen, CO 81611

Journey into Aspen and see why the Billionaires are kicking all the Millionaires out to Crested Butte! Enjoy the shops and great restaurants. Whomever finds a home without a perfectly manicured and landscaped yard gets a prize! (Must provide proof) Expect to overpay for everything including parking. Seriously though, Aspen is beautiful, although this write-up was also serious, and beautiful. (Written by Robert Barker esq)

Crested Butte

Crested Butte

Crested Butte, CO 81224

If feeling adventurous drive down route 133 out of Carbondale just south of Glenwood Springs. You'll drive a route along a river where you can see large pieces of marble that fell from trains. This marble was used to build the monuments in Washington D.C. You will also drive over McClure pass. Once you pass Paonia reservoir, make a left onto Route 12. It will become a gravel road but passable in a normal car. (You got a rental anyway, beat the hell out of it.) You will drive through gigantu-ous mega-normous aspen groves and over Kebler pass then down into the town of Crested Butte.

Mount Evans

Mount Evans

CO 80439

If so inclined on the way to Glenwood Springs from Denver, or even later in your trip, drive to the top of Mt. Evans. Highest paved rd. in America and the views are incredible. Take Hwy 103 out of Idaho Springs right along Interstate 70 and follow the signs for Mt. Evans. Summit your first fourteener! If you are afraid of heights and roads with no guardrails with cliffs, DO NOT do this!!!

Maroon Bells

Maroon Bells

CO 81654

This is the location of our ceremony. It's an amazing area and Rob loves backpacking there. You can't see it enough. Sunset is incredible!

Million Dollar Highway

Million Dollar Highway

Ouray, CO

Take a drive on U.S. Route 550 between Ouray and Silverton. One of the most dangerous roads in America. Breathtaking views of the San Juan Mountains, although be careful as there are no guardrails.

Pikes Peak

Pikes Peak

5089 Pikes Peak Highway, Cascade, CO 80809

Drive to the top of Pikes Peak outside Colorado Springs. Beautiful views of the city below and out over the plains. See where America the Beautiful was written.

Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods

1805 N. 30th St., Colorado Springs, CO 80904

Explore Colorado Springs' paradise in one magical stop. Garden of the Gods Park is a registered National Natural Landmark. Imagine dramatic views, 300' towering sandstone rock formations against a backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak and brilliant blue skies. This world-class Visitor & Nature Center and museum is the most visited attraction in the region with all new interactive exhibits. Learn how the amazing red rocks got there with the NEW Geo-Trekker theater experience, shown every 20 minutes. Delight in one of Colorado's most photographed views while eating in our glass-enclosed café or from our terrace overlooking Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Where else can you eat inside a postcard?

Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

CO
(970) 586-1206

Drive through Rocky Mountain National Park on Trail Ridge Rd. Some of the road is above treeline and you'll get to experience alpine tundra. There are many pull-outs with gorgeous scenic vistas.
