Barcelona Airport (BCN)

This is the closest major airport to the wedding venue. It is located about a 30 minute drive from the city center. There are frequent busses that go into the city. Cabs/Ubers are also very accessible (they all take card payments).

How To Get Around

Barcelona is a very walkable city, and many areas are best explored on foot. For longer distances, we recommend downloading the Uber or Cabify apps. Renting a car is also a great option during your stay; however, free street parking can be limited, and you may often need to use paid private car parks—so please bear this in mind. There are rental car options both at the airport and in the city center if you choose to do this.

Accommodation

We’ll be hosting a few optional events in the days leading up to the wedding, mostly in and around Barcelona city. If you’d like to join us for these events (e.g. group hike, beach day, group drinks) it may be easiest to stay somewhere central. Some recommended areas to stay include: -Eixample, Poble Sec, or Sants (well connected, walkable, not super touristy, lots of cafes/restaurants) -Gracia (buzzing area with more night life, however, slightly less connected) -Poble Nou (closest to the less crowded beach in the city, however, slightly less connected) Areas to avoid staying: (These areas are very touristy and can be dodgy at night) -Barceloneta -Las Ramblas -El Raval FOR ACCOMMODATION ON THE WEDDING DAY We wish for everyone to celebrate with us through the evening and have the ability to drink responsibly without the worry of driving late at night. Therefore, we will be organising transport to and from Hotel Air Penedes, which is approximately a 15 minute drive from the venue. We have reserved rooms for all of our guests, all you need to do is pay on arrival (approx. 90 euros for 1 night).
