Mackinac Island
Mackinac Island is like going back in time! For centuries, visitors have enjoyed this national treasure that's home to historic Fort Mackinac, world-famous Mackinac Island fudge and car-free streets full of horse-drawn carriages. There are no cars on the island. Sarah, just like her sister and Father, spent summers during the college years working on the island and it is so special to the family. You can rent bikes and bike the 8 mile path, have high tea at the grand hotel, hike the trails, or shop and explore the historic old magical town. There's many hotels if you'd like to stay a night on the island. Accessible by ferry ride only! From St. Ignace or Mackinac City, there are different ferry companies and times when they depart. Tahquamenon Falls
A UP staple! Not too far from our home, and a lovely short hike to the falls. There is a great brewery near the upper falls as well!

There are many different companies that offer boat rentals or kayak tours through Pictured Rocks. There is also a few incredible trails along the coastline that are gorgeous, as well as a lovely beach. So many choices for ways to see the incredible coast!
