Our Love Story

Sarah & Niko met while working on a luxury expedition cruise ship. Sarah was close to completing her 6 month contract as a first time Cruise Director who also performed, when she had to be quarantined due to coming down with COVID. While she was stuck in quarantine, a colleague told Sarah about a new handsome videographer who had just joined the ship. He was from Argentina and had a great personality. This was all Sarah knew. The day Sarah was released, she had to prepare for an evening show. Well, it just happened to be that the backstage area on this small ship was shared with the videographer studio. After Sarah completed her tech run, she nervously said hello to Niko, and stated she heard he was from Argentina and asked if he knew how to tango. To her surprise, he swept her up into his arms and pulled a few tango moves. AND he can dance? She was instantly charmed. And he was instantly starstruck. The next day Niko asked Sarah out on a first date, which happened to be in Ibiza, Spain. He was a complete gentleman (which to this day, still is), from every step of the way. From then on, time seemed to move at a different pace. They spent the next 6 weeks exploring the seaside of Italy, Spain, Greece and Turkey, going on adventures, learning about each other, finding common interests, biking, hiking, swimming, exploring and eating the most exotic foods on the most picturesque of dates. How could you not fall in love? Well, that's just what they did. It only took 2 weeks for them to fall head over heels and decide to take a trip after their contract to Portugal and Paris. After the most beautiful times imaginable, the couple had to spend months apart as they joined separate ships. The long distance was difficult but their love never wavered and they fell day by day more in love. Eventually, the time came where being together grew more important than travel/work. They decided to slow down, and eventually all together stop taking contracts away, so they could enjoy life together, and, life on land. This brought for many new adventures for the couple. From grocery stores, to movie theaters, to cooking new recipes, this stability and normality was something that a career of travel didn't provide, and they were able to explore this together and enjoy every moment, big and small. They chose to settle down in the beautiful riverside town of Tigre, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They are happily enjoying their life together in Argentina, as Sarah is learning Spanish and adjusting to living the Argentine life, and they both are figuring out the next step in their careers, while also having time to devote to their crafts which provided them years of experience and a lifetime of adventures. The couple's favorite song is "invisible string" by Taylor Swift, and this idea that their was an invisible string always connecting them rings true. Both Sarah and Niko searched the world and went through many trials before finding their partner in each other. But the parallels have always been present, and it's a beautiful thing to find and experience life with the person who was meant to take that journey with you.
