When Sarah met Nicolas, it was through his profile on Bumble, and the photo that solidified her swiping right on him was one where he sported a mustache and floral button down shirt. That photo made her think “he must be super fun to talk to”. So, she swiped right, and a few hours later Nicolas replied to her message where she asked him about his favorite movies— that’s where their love story begins. Their first date consisted of pasta at a rooftop restaurant and late night arcade games sprinkled with fast walking towards their parked cars in hopes the garage didn’t lock them in there until the next morning. Their mutual love for theme parks had them get a Disney Annual Pass together, while also screaming their heads off on huge rollercoasters in Universal Orlando and walking through haunted houses at Halloween Horror Nights. They have the same nerdy interests in Disney and Universal movies and theme park’s, video games, and they love to play board games together. Their love for animals meets no bounds, so much so that they hope to adopt more furry friends in the future.

Sarah had no idea that Nicolas had been planning the proposal for six months. She was so excited over finally swimming with a dolphin that anything suspicious went out the window. He was so successful, he managed to get her friends to have her nails done, and switch phones with his sister so it seemed like he was home when the entire time Nicolas was out talking to her dad over the engagement ring. When the day came, there was almost a blunder by the woman at the front desk, but Sarah was so oblivious that she didn’t notice it. When she was told that Capricorn the dolphin was going to swim towards her with a buoy, and she needed to read it before turning around to show Nick— that’s when the possibility of it happening dawned on her. It was confirmed immediately when in her hands was a white buoy with the words “Will You Marry Me?” After many repeated “what?”’s and nervous laughter, Sarah said yes, and Nicolas slid the gold ring onto her finger, solidifying their engagement.
