Shit just Got Real

We met in high school where Mike was a football player and Sarah was an athletic trainer. Never knowing what life had in store, we went our separate ways for college. As Sarah began moving around from Flagstaff to Durango and eventually California to pursue a career in the golf industry; Mike went to Colorado State and began training to be in the Marines. Mike always stayed in touch with Sarah through Facebook until finally he found out he would be getting stationed in California where Sarah had been living for two years. Excited that someone from her hometown would be moving near her, Sarah gave Mike her number and hoped that they could catch up and be friends. This is exactly what happened! Mike and Sarah began to hang out together quite often. They became the best of friends even to the point that Mike set Sarah up on Tinder to find her a hot date. This friendship continued to grow but they knew that would be interrupted soon, as Mike was deploying to Australia. As Mike was leaving feelings grew stronger but eventually he had to go. When Mike was returning from this deployment he had bought Marine ball tickets. Knowing he would ask Sarah and hoping she would go with him, either as a friend because she knew he needed a date or because they were dating. Well Mike was right because by the time he returned, they picked up right where they had left off and shortly after a drunken trip to Vegas for a college bowl game Mike and Sarah knew their lives had forever changed. During this time they lived two hours away but always made time fore each other. They made the most of their time together in the short time before Mike deployed again. Still never once telling each other "I love you" they agreed to stay loyal during the trip. After two months they finally figured out they had found their better half and life changed with those three small words. Soon Mike returned and moved into their apartment where he proposed a few months later!!
