Matron of Honor
Emma is a West Virginia native currently living in Chesapeake, VA with her husband, Kyle, and their little grey cat, Azalea. She has been working in public libraries since 2016, and graduated with her Masters of Library Science degree in 2020; a process that Sarah witnessed and supported her through while they lived together in Ohio. Emma's interests include reading, true crime and rewatch podcasts, theme parks, professional wrestling, and all things spooky, magical, antique, or covered in cheese. Emma first met Sarah in 2012, in their shared freshman year at Bethany College. But it was in January 2013 when their friendship truly began during one fateful West Virginia History class. In the intervening years, they became best friends, sorority sisters, roommates, and platonic soulmates. If you can name it, Emma and Sarah have probably done, felt, or gone through it together. And now, Emma is thrilled beyond words to stand by her Roomie's side when she marries the love of her life.
Best Man
Jeff has been Matt’s older brother since 1991. Some say Jeff may be Matt’s bestest man… He is excited to celebrate this day of love and joy between Matt and Sarah! When not preparing for amazing weddings, Jeff spends his time with his lovely wife and three children in sunny Tampa FL.
Maid of Honor
Savannah is Sarah's "baby" sister and has known her the entirety of her life. Savannah and Sarah are very close and can count on one hand how many serious fights they have been in since they were conscious. Sarah and Savannah were blessed with loving parents who took them on MANY road trips where their relationship was forged in the minimal shared backseat space. Savannah would attribute many of her fondest memories with Sarah to the closeness they developed during these times. Savannah is currently surrounded by loving friends and her sweet dog, Jack. She works as an EMT and is currently taking a course to advance to becoming a paramedic. In her spare time, she loves to cook and play games with her friends, as well as go on walks with Jack the dog.

I’m Andrew Lenz, Matt’s little brother, and arguably favorite sibling. I guess I’ve known him since I was very very little, but that’s all hearsay, I don’t remember any of it. A little about myself, I live out in Phoenix and am a pilot for Southwest Airlines. I like working on my cars and playing games with my friends.
Bridesmaid
Heidi McClure lives in Kent, Ohio and has been married to her husband, Mike, for over 40 years. She met Sarah in 2019 when they both taught science at Theodore Roosevelt High School in Kent. After retiring in 2021 she began supervising student teachers for Kent State University. Her hobbies include gardening, traveling, reading, hiking, kayaking, foraging morels, collecting beach glass and spending time with her friends and family. Some of her favorite memories with Sarah include: being greeted by Sarah’s smile each morning at work, silly school stuff like wearing matching PJ’s for spirit day, the great net rescue, hot chocolate Fridays, senior skip day, Brimfield bread oven get togethers, being introduced to mint juleps while spending time at Heidelberg beach, visits to Big Stone Gap including stops at the Natural tunnel and a day in Dollywood, “half way meet ups” at the “peace like a river” air bnb and the bridge walk at the New River Gorge. Heidi is thrilled that Sarah and Matt are taking this next step in their journey and is honored to be a part of their special day.

Well Matt and I both started out at Epcot as disney bus drivers around the same time (which is pretty well known), what you might not know is that Matt had this super cool bus driver hat. Stylish and all, so he became known as Matt with the Hat Lenz, and the rest is history. Well that, and we were basically the only two at the Epcot hub who were under 65, so that helped too. As for myself, I work in airport operations at KORL. I also sometimes stand on rooftops or caves looking to put the fear of Justice into those who would prey on the weak. I am the night.

I met Matt August 1994 and I’m pretty sure we were best friends from the start (I suppose people may also call us siblings). We have been there for each other for all the ups and downs. He let me couch surf and borrow his car as I figured out my career which led me to my job as a carnivore keeper at Zoo Atlanta. My husband, two cats, two dogs and I are living happily in Marietta, GA which is luckily only about a 5 hour drive to Big Stone Gap! Which is fantastic because we love that our family has grown with Sarah and try to visit as much as we can! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Sarah and Matt!
