Pinehurst Golf Courses
Donald Ross’s masterpiece, No. 2 at Pinehurst has served as the site of more single golf championships than any other course in America. It has also hosted back-to-back U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open Championships in 2014. And as the U.S. Open’s anchor site, the future looks bright indeed. The championship returns in 2024, 2029, 2035, 2041 and 2047. Come walk in the footsteps of legends and play the holes that will birth a new generation of icons as well. While famous for No. 2, Pinehurst offers 12 different courses to choose from. How to Book a Tee Time Pinehurst reserves advance tee times for members and resort guests. To play courses 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 or 9, you must be a member or resort guest. If you are not a member or resort guest and wish to play courses 1, 3, 5 or The Cradle, you may call (855) 835-0771, opt 5, to book a tee time beginning 1 day before your desired date of play. Walk on tee times are non-cancellable and a credit card is required to guarantee your time.
Village of Pinehurst
Just a short stroll from the Carolina Hotel, Holly or Manor, you’ll find the shops and restaurants of The Village of Pinehurst. Located in the same historic buildings that framed the center of the Village a century ago are a number of unique boutiques, gift shops and dining venues to explore along with the historic village homes and cottages that line the adjacent streets. Most shops are open Monday through Saturday and dining venues have more extended hours. Reservoir Park
This is where Lance and I eloped! Reservoir Park is a 2 mile loop that surrounds the lake. It is an extremely beautiful park and a great place to watch the sunset.
Southern Pines Shopping District
Southern Pines has always served as a center of commerce, being the major railroad station in the late 19th and 20th centuries. Take a drive, then stroll through the gorgeous streets in the downtown shopping district, with its many fine restaurants, locally-owned boutiques and coffee shops.
