FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 20 as this helps us with logistics for the ceremony and reception. Please either mail us the RSVP card included in your invitation or call/text Sarah or Justin.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We recommend dressy casual. The ceremony will take place outdoors on grass. There is a short gravel trail that guests will need to use, as well as small stairs and ramps to enter the reception site, so please plan your footwear accordingly! There is no air conditioning at the venue so consider clothing that will keep you comfortable if it is warm.

Question

Is the wedding outdoors or indoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outdoors and the reception will be indoors. Both will take place at the same location, just a short walk apart.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We are planning to start the ceremony at 3:00 pm, so please arrive 15-30 minutes early to get parked and settled in!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is grass/field parking at the venue.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, our venue space is limited and we want to be able to include as many of our friends and family members as possible. Your RSVP card included with your wedding invitation indicates how many seats we have reserved for you and your family.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are excited to have our youngest family members celebrate with us! Please note that the reception will include adult beverages (beer and wine) and music that is not guaranteed to be child friendly.

Question

Am I allowed to take pictures at the wedding?

Answer

We would like to have a phone-free ceremony so that guests are present during the ceremony and not distracted by their devices. It's also important to us that our professional wedding photographer can get the best possible shots without the interference of other flashes or mobile screens. Feel free to take pictures during the reception, though!

Question

Can I post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

We're okay with you sharing pictures from the reception on social media. Please respect our wishes for a phone-free ceremony, though. We promise we'll share the professional photos!

Question

I have a dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

We'll be serving a variety of hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour and a barbecue buffet for dinner. There is a vegan dinner option (black bean burger) available upon request. We can also provide vegan and gluten free dessert upon request. Please let us know about dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we will do our best.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

The best gift we could ask for is you celebrating our wedding with us! We have had our own household for several years and don’t need any household items, but if you would like to gift us something, we are registered for a house down payment fund that can be accessed by clicking the "registry" tab on this website. We will also have a card box at the reception.
