FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah McKendry and Jose Arrillaga
Question

Wait, is there a ceremony?

Answer

Nope! We already tied the knot privately, so this celebration is all about relaxing, dancing, and enjoying good food and company. No ceremony, no formalities— just the party!

Question

Is the event indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We're keeping our fingers crossed for good weather! Seating will be indoors, with covered areas and heaters outside.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

Italian! We've ordered catering from Bridgeside Market in Sewickley. There will be both meat and meatless options. It's bound to be delicious!

Question

Are my children welcome?

Answer

Due to seating limitations, this event is adults-only. We love your children, but we hope you can still enjoy a night off to celebrate with us!

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yep, and plenty of it!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The vibe is Garden Casual— think breezy and festive. Sundresses, floral prints, linen pants, dressy jeans, and short-sleeved button-downs are all perfect. Light suits or blazers are optional. Comfortable shoes or sandals encouraged— no need to stress about heels. Sarah will be wearing Birkenstocks. Jose probably will too.

Question

Wait a second... isn't this the same weekend as the NFL draft?

Answer

😳 It is. We didn't know! We are probably as far from "football fans" as you can get. We're sorry!

Question

Does this mean Pittsburgh will be... busy?

Answer

Yes. Very. Think shoulder-to-shoulder jerseys, higher hotel prices, and people yelling about quarterbacks. None of those people are invited to our party (at least we don't think they are?)

Question

Why isn't there a hotel block?

Answer

We tried. In August. The hotels laughed. Then they cried. Then they told us everything was already booked by football people who plan their lives very far in advance.

Question

So where should we stay?

Answer

Wherever you can find availability! Hotels, Airbnbs, staying with friends, or summoning a miracle all work. Please let us know if you need help finding something!

Question

Will there be football at the party?

Answer

Probably not! But there will be an open bar, which we think is even better.
