Question

RSVP

Answer

Please RSVP no later than May 20th 2024. When you go to RSVP on our site you will need to enter your first and last name. If you are part of a family or have a plus one as part of your invitation, you will be able to RSVP for everyone attached to your invitation. Please see the below section about plus one's.

Question

Reception and Food

Answer

Reception will follow immediately after the ceremony at the same venue. An unattended cocktail hour will take place following the ceremony while the couple, immediate family and wedding party take photos. Light Hors D'oeuvres, drinks and games will be available for all to enjoy while you wait for dinner to start at 5:30. We will be serving a full buffet dinner along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There will of course be music, dancing and games.

Question

What about kids

Answer

Our Wedding is an older child/Adult event due to venue restrictions. Children under the age of 12 will not be able to attend the event. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Plus One's/Guest List

Answer

We have chosen to limit our guest list in order to have a small intimate celebration with those we love and know. Invitations have been especially crafted to include you, and may not include a plus one option. Please understand that if your invitation did not have a plus one, we have invited you alone. We will not be able to accommodate any additions (or substitutions) to our guest list.

Question

Registry

Answer

We have decided not to have a traditional registry for our wedding. If you would like to get us something, we would ask that you contribute to our next great adventure . . . buying a home! Please know that we understand if you decide to decline since this is not a traditional registry and donations are not required. You can donate to our fund in many ways - either by check, cash or Venmo @DragonOwl24.

Question

What to wear

Answer

There is no dress code for our wedding other than dress in what makes you happy and is comfortable. However, there may be a few things to know that might influence your choices. The venue and reception will all be held at Mount Peak Farm in Enumclaw, WA. This is strictly an outdoor venue with a wedding tent pavilion for the reception. There are gravel walkways, grass areas (with a tiny slope to the ceremony location) and a poured cement floor under the tent. Keep this in mind when choosing what shoes you want to wear. Additionally, the venue will be 100% outdoors, so bringing layers may be prudent. Weather in this area during June can fluctuate wildly year to year, so check the weather to be best prepared. (2021 - high 90s to low 100s, 2022- mid 60s, 2023 - mid 70s.) It could be hot, could be cold, could be rainy - no way to know just yet!

Question

Where to stay

Answer

If you are coming from out of town, where to stay may be one of your first questions. Enumclaw is a small, more rural town of the greater Seattle area and 50 minutes from the Sea-Tac Airport. The closest "big" city is Tacoma. The closest larger town is Auburn. We have chosen not to book a block at any hotels (Kathy and Ginger may, and you can reach out to them directly). We suggest staying in either Tacoma or the surrounding area's to enjoy the sights but still be close to the venue. We highly recommend not staying in Seattle itself as it's expensive and farther away than you think. Places to stay suggested by the Venue: The Guesthouse Inn -Enumclaw Mason Jar Farm B&B (Airbnb Farmstay) - Enumclaw La Sorelle Inn - Buckley Muckleshoot Casino Resort - Auburn Comfort Inn - Auburn La Quinta - Auburn

Question

What to do and see during your visit

Answer

As our wedding will be on a Thursday and many guests will be coming from out of state, we expect many of you may make a bigger trip out of this than just our wedding. There are many great things to do and see in the greater Seattle area. Below are some links that may be helpful to you. One thing to note is that summertime in Washington is very popular so expect a good amount of traffic and longer wait times for popular attractions. Additionally, ferry wait times can be very high (> 1-2 hour waits) during the summer so keep this in mind. Parking is paid in most larger cities and can be very limited. https://www.traveltacoma.com/things-to-do/ https://visitseattle.org/things-to-do/sightseeing/top-25-attractions/
