Fly into Gunnison

There are two main ways to get to Crested Butte, Colorado. The first way to Crested Butte is to fly into Gunnison Regional Airport. This will likely require a layover. Once arriving in Gunnison it is a 30 minute drive to Crested Butte. After arriving in Gunnison there is free public transportation throughout the area but you may find it more convenient to rent a car and drive. The second way to get to Crested Butte is to fly into Denver, and drive from Denver to Crested Butte. The drive is long, but beautiful. Check out the drive section for suggested stops along the way.

The drive from Denver to Crested Butte is long but beautiful. It takes approximately 4 to 4.5 hours to drive from Denver's Airport to Crested Butte.
