Question

What date do I need to RSVP?

Answer

August 30, 2019

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal attire / black tie is encouraged - think of this as an opportunity to dress to the nines! That being said, if formal wear is not your thing, wear whatever makes you happy. We’d rather see you in something more casual than not at all!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony begins promptly at 3:30pm, so please start to arrive by 3:00pm, and no later than 3:15. Please no one arrive earlier than 2:30, if not part of the wedding party or helping to set up the venue.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at the golf course, but the golf course will be active at the start of the wedding... There is plenty of street parking, but I recommend using Uber so you can enjoy yourself at the reception!

Question

Are photos and videos allowed to be taken during the ceremony and reception?

Answer

A photographer will be on site to photograph the ceremony and formal portraits - that being said, guests are invited to take any and all pics and videos of the ceremony that they desire, only please do not block the photographer or put your phones in front of the camera during the critical shots (such as bride walking down the aisle!) There will be no photographer during the reception, so feel free to go wild with the pictures! Any/all are encouraged and appreciates. Please tag all photos with our wedding hashtag (#MadHawkWedding2019). There will be an open air photo-booth for three hours during the reception - We look forward to seeing pictures of all guests, to remember the night forever!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open well bar for the entire reception... beer, wine, and Barton liquor. Quality of the beer is decent (Bud light, corona, Heineken, Newcastle, 805, Stella, blue moon, etc). Quality of the wine is mediocre at its best - if you aren't a normal wine drinker, you probably won't notice. If you are solely a wine drinker like me, give me a call - I am working on some "out of the box" solutions... liquor (vodka, tequila, rum, and gin) will be available and, having tasted it, can tell you that with a mixer it’s not too bad! Then again, if you happened to "accidentally" drop a flask of something amazing in your purse / pocket / trunk of your car and miraculously find it again just in time for the reception, that would be just one more thing to celebrate!

Question

Who should I call on the wedding day if I have questions / need directions / etc?

Answer

Anyone but the bride! Matt Hawkins (brother): (714) 743-2368 Tia Wills (mom): 562-221-6737
