Their story began in San Diego, back in 2012. Both Sarah and Jeff were assigned to work as area managers on the USS Pearl Harbor. Both in other relationships at the time, they developed a casual work friendship at best, before Sarah was transferred to another ship. Fast forwarding to 2017, Jeff and Sarah (now both single) were once again assigned to the same program at work, and after a little Fireball for both, Jeff gained the liquid courage needed to ask Sarah out on a date. Sarah brought to the relationship a love of cooking fine food, drinking fine wine, one fluffy barking dog, and the habit of waking up at the crack of dawn (the first two were easy transitions for Jeff, the fourth still a struggle for Jeff on weekends). Jeff brought his enthusiasm for Cowboys football, video games, and a relaxed and low key attitude (Sarah eventually figured if she can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em, and picked her own football team - Go Browns!). The addition of a slightly crazy / furniture eating puppy later, Sarah and Jeff and their dogs were living a happy life. On Labor Day weekend in 2018, Jeff and Sarah (along with their friend Gloria) went to Napa for a wine tasting weekend... there Jeff chose to propose to Sarah with a custom made ring, set with the diamonds from Sarah’s grandmothers engagement ring, her great grandmothers ring, and her grandfather’s Masonic ring. Spoiler alert: she said yes! Sarah, as an OCD and highly organized (and slightly crazy) person, is enjoying planning the wedding of her dreams. Jeff is enjoying ignoring wedding planning as much as possible, and looking forward to being told where to be as directed. Both are looking forward to getting married, celebrating with friends and family, and going on their low-key honeymoon to Walt Disney World, with the plans for an Italy honeymoon at a future date. Sarah and Jeff hope that everyone is able to attend, and can’t wait for the millions of memories, hugs and well wishes gained on October 5!
