FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Question

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

Answer

Although we love to see children laugh and play, it’s an adult only kind of day. Please find alternative care for your children that night.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 24, 2026.

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP on our website using the RSVP tab. This tab will open once invitations have been sent out.

Question

What time should I arrive at the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 p.m. Please arrive to the venue no earlier than 3:30 p.m.

Question

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?

Answer

We are excited to start our lives together, and we are thankful for our loved ones. As we enter our marriage, we realize that we have enough belongings. Therefore, we have decided to plan the honeymoon of our dreams. Our wedding registry includes a honeymoon fund along with personalized experiences — such as excursions, meals, and spa days — that can be given as wedding gifts. We are excited to share our special day with you, and we also look forward to providing glimpses into our honeymoon when we return. Thank you! To contribute, simply visit https://www.zola.com/wedding/sarahandjarred2026/registry. With sincere appreciation, Sarah and Jarred.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal Garden Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and fascinators. Please keep in mind that ceremony and cocktail hour will be on the grass. For that reason, stiletto or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended. The wedding will take place entirely outdoors. Please feel free to bring layers, as it may be chilly in the evening.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will take place entirely outdoors. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held on the grass. The reception and dinner are being held on the fireside patio. Please feel free to bring layers, as it may be chilly in the evening.

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

1441 N. Twin Oaks Valley Rd, San Marcos, CA 92069. Free parking is available on-site.

Question

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

No, due to Jarred's alcohol allergy and many of our guests not drinking, there will be no alcohol served. We will have an array of sodas, water, teas, and sparkling cider to toast!

Question

What type of food will be served at the wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entrée. There will be a red meat, chicken, and vegetarian option available. Please select your choice of entrée when you RSVP by using our wedding website. Hors D'oeuvres - Mac n Cheese Bites with Applewood Smoked Bacon - Mini Crab Cakes - Honey Fried Chicken Bites Starter - Summer Salad: Strawberries, Frisee, Arugula, Beets, Balsamic Vinaigrette Entrees - Merlot Braised Shortribs with Mashed Potato and Broccolini - Artichoke, Sun Dried Tomato, Feta Stuffed Chicken Breast with Mashed Potato, Heirloom Carrots, Feta Spinach Cream Sauce, Herb Oil - Vegetarian Mushroom Ravioli with Mushroom Cream Sauce, Shaved Parmesan, Arugula, and a Balsamic Reduction Dessert - Cake - Sugar Cookies

Question

Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?

Answer

We plan on having an entrée choice that's gluten and nut free to accommodate guests with dietary restrictions. If you have additional restrictions that go beyond what we've listed here, please let us know in the designated section of your digital RSVP. We want you to feel comfortable and well fed!

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep our wedding "unplugged" and refrain from taking any photos or videos at our ceremony. We want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day. Please feel free to take photos during the cocktail-hour and reception.
