Officiant
Gus is not just the oldest Hamborg brother and leader of the crew, but has been a moral and spiritual mentor to Sarah and Jachin's relationship since its inception. Gus has been there to enjoy adventures, beers and many laughs. He has also been a huge source of guidance, and has been a role-model of a loving husband and now father. Both Sarah and Jachin are beyond excited and blessed to have Gus marry them.
Ring Bearer
Stone is the oldest of the nephews and has brought so much life to this family. This little guy is the pride and joy of Jachin and Sarah. They cannot think of a cuter and more passionate human to carry their rings that represent their forever future!
Maid of Honor
Sarah’s BFF since high school, Lauren’s seen this relationship from it’s wee beginnings in the Edison High Training Room. From track and cross country to big girl jobs, college parties to farmers’ markets, Lauren’s been the truest friend there ever was. Her impeccable organization and party planning skills are definitely a plus in her MOH role 😉
Best Man
Brother and best friend. Anders is the second oldest of the 5 boys and 4 years older than Jachin. But they have been rivals and homies for a long time. Their extreme competitive nature is why they are so close and enjoy so many of the same things. Packers, Liverpool, Volleyball, bodysurfing, surfing, lifeguarding... the list goes on. But more than anything they lean on each other in life and has been the biggest fan of Sarah and Jachin from the beginning.
Bridesmaid
Cousin of the Bride and only 18 months older, Heather is one of the reasons why Sarah doesn’t act like an only child 😉 luckily, they grew up to like each other too, and easily call each other both friends and cousins.
Groomsman
The middle Brother. Chap is the one who brings the joy with him and has brought so much life to Jachin and Sarah independently and as a couple. Chap was the one who initially brought Sarah over along with the thousands of other girls who he ran with. But after Jachin saw Sarah on the family's Mac photobooth archives he would never be the same... Thanks Chap <3
Bridesmaid
Sophia lived next door to Sarah and Rachel freshman year, and has remained one of Sarah’s closest friends. She's a loyal friend who always brings a good time, and you're bound to see her grooving on the dance floor all night (maybe you'll even see some late night karaoke from her, if you're lucky). From Thailand to San Francisco and everything in between, adventures with Sophia are always a treat.
Groomsman
Brother #5 and beneficiary of all documents of Jachin's. He deserves it! Being the youngest Mo learned to take whatever came to him and enjoy it. Jachin and Moses have had some amazing travel experiences including all over Europe. Moses will always be the life of the party and is such a special person to Jachin and Sarah. Well when he decides to bless you by being in the same continent...
Bridesmaid
Sarah and Rachel matched as roommates freshman year at USC, and kept the tradition alive while living in Pi Phi. She’s truly one of the funniest, nicest people you’ll ever meet, and Sarah wouldn’t have made it through college without her (the separation anxiety each summer and winter break was very real).
Groomsman
Jachin's first normal (non-homeschooled) friend. Once Clay finally let Jachin hang they were pretty much inseparable. Clay was the leader of the crew and Jachin was his trusty sidekick. Clay took him along on all his first surf trips, almost drowned him in 6th grade and is still working on it. Clay's family has always treated Jachin like their own. A loyal and life long friend.
Bridesmaid
DR. ROOF is definitely in this bridal party as the point of reference for all bachelorette related injuries. More importantly, she was Sarah’s college roommate, partner in crime in South Africa, and one of the most genuine friends Sarah has ever had.
Groomsman
Nick is the guy who couldn't figure out what the heck was wrong with these Hamborg kids so had to figure it out for himself. Weeks later and he is sucked in as part of the Hamborg family forever by age 13. Jachin and Nick have seen each other in so many stages in life and have always been each-others number one supporters no matter how far or how strange the circumstance. A true brotherrrr.
Bridesmaid
Zoe is also one of Sarah’s college roommates (we lived in a 4-man room, okay??) and best friend since freshman year. She's genuine, funny, and always up for an adventure. Sarah's favorite memories with Zoe include (but are not limited to): sneaking in to Coachella, buying tickets from a random dude at the concert door to see The Killers, and late night rollerblading.
Groomsman
Lets just say they have a lot of things in common: Both setters at Edison Vollyball, National Longboard Champs, HB City Lifeguard Supervisors, goofy footed and will scrap for the better left-hand tube, and finally got engaged and married both within a month of each other. Some will say its a coincidence others may say they just like hanging out together ;)
Bridesmaid
When people ask how we met, it’s always a toss up to say HB or USC, because it’s really a hometown friendship that blossomed through college. Morgan is probably the most honest person you’ve ever met, always for the better. She’s a true friend to both Sarah and Jachin, and a light in our lives!
Groomsman
Jesse and Jachin have had a special friendship for a long time. Out of all of Jachin's insane friends, Jesse was the one who takes life at a slower pace and is the craftsmen. From hand-shaping Jachin some of his most favorite surfboards to road tripping the entire California coastline in a Jeep Patriot together they have had some unforgettable memories.
Bridesmaid
Bella and Sarah met freshman year when rushing Pi Phi when they had to line up in alphabetical order (holla for having last names that start with W!). To this day, this is one of the only perks Sarah has seen that comes with having a last name at the end of alphabet. Bella and Sarah’s relationship is based in good music, good food, and good humor (too goofy for some people, but we ignore the haters).
Groomsman
Although this friendship goes back to two young 4 years old grommets on the AYSO soccer team together, the real deal didn't get ripping until Orange Coast College in Stats class of 2013. They both quickly became good friends with many unknown mutual friends. Fast-forward 6 years later and they have been pretty much attached by the hip. Transferred and lived together at UCSB, backpacked through Chile for 10 weeks, and then again lived together in back in HB for almost 2 years. Daniel is a loyal son-of-a-gun. Shark Fin Boys for life.
Groomsman
Coachella, Outsidelands, backpacking in the Sierra, rock climbing, kyaking with whales in Santa Barbara, Trevor and Jachin have had so many epic adventures. Trevor has always been the guy who Jachin can talk to about anything and has been a consistent best-bud. He was the first to get married of the crew and it was memorable to say the least!
Groomsman
The homie "SHLO-mey." Jachin still recalls the first time he met Shlome at the SSJ fair at age 12 and the rest was history, Schuyler and Jachin have been so close since. Both transferring to schools in Central California and even competing against each-other on the college surf teams. They have both always been ultra competitive and have shared every aspect of life together.
Ring Bearer
Shepherd is goofy, sweet, and all around loveable.
