Well this has been a incredible year to say the least. We thank you all for riding through these times with us and the multiple postponements. Due to the uncertainty of times we were married on March 8, 2020 with our parents and siblings present. We are grateful for the small ceremony we had and hope to celebrate with you at one of our anniversaries!
The day has finally come! After years of high school puppy love, long distance college romance, living together by the beach, and many countries in between, we’re finally declaring our love publicly in front of our closest family and friends. We can’t wait to share our marriage with you- and celebrate accordingly. Come ready to feel the love, shed a tear, and boogie the night away.
Yes, we met in high school. Yes, we started dating 2 months after we met. Yes, it was love at first sight.
We were in La Paz, Mexico, and had nothing better to do but rent kayaks at a spot where we could paddle over to our own private beach. Jachin had gotten Sarah’s grandma’s engagement ring shortly before, and took her grandpa’s advice to carry the ring around so he could propose whenever he felt the time was right. Jachin took this advice a little too seriously, and zipped the ring into his boardshort’s pocket for the kayak ride out to the beach. When Sarah went to swim in the ocean, Jachin propped his iPhone camera up with his hat and started recording. When Sarah came in from the water, he got down on one knee and did the dang thing!! It must’ve been meant to be, because by the grace of God, the ring didn’t fall out in the water and made it safely onto Sarah’s finger.
